I have a 2.7, but a huge upward trend that is addressed in my application, a 170 on the Feb 2010 LSAT, and I am Cuban. What are my chances at UNC? I just applied there today, which is the deadline I think. Thanks.

If you are Cuban and out of state, I think you have applied too late as they may not have many OOS seats left (I think UNC has to take something like 75% of its class from NC residents)...I would think about waiting til next cycle, you could get into WUSTL, possibly some other good schools that love high LSAT scores.

Yep, out of state. I knew I should have applied earlier, oh well. I'm considering waiting for next year and applying again, but I'd rather not.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but law schools won't consider you a URM. That is reserved for Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, African Americans, and Native Americans.
