Yes, you have exactly a snowball's chance in hell.

As in, I have heard of this happening like once and people with these numbers failing like 15 times. I would 2nd that its worth the app tho, Michigan does have a pretty low lsat median. Just make sure you do Why Michigan.

Edit on second thought, taking a year off and EDing Cornell is clearly tcr.

You're LSAT is below their 25%ile and you can't offer them a stellar GPA in return. Unless you've done something truly incredible with your life, I doubt it. But, I'm sure there are plenty of good schools that you'll be accepted to in the T20-30 range.

Also, if you don't mind the app fee and time, there's really nothing lost in applying.

I applied in November and was just rejected with almost exact same numbers (same LSAT but GPA lower at 3.52). Unless you are a resident I'd say its pretty tough to apply late in the cycle with those numbers and get in.

I shotgunned the T20-40, then belatedly realized that I should have applied to a couple of reaches. I've always dreamed of Michigan, so I thought I would send an app there and another to Cornell (being the easiest T14 to get into). Enter Cornell trolls.

I'm a fan of reaches (and "reach arounds"), if only for the psychological satisfaction of knowing, rather than guessing, if you could've made it. That said, you need to get your reach applications in as soon as they're ready, as it only gets harder from here on out.

Please pay special attention to "as soon as they're ready;" a great application two weeks from now is far better than a mediocre app tomorrow.
fixt :D

Michigan almost never accepts applicants below both medians (1 for 55 on LSN last year).

I got in at Michigan with a lower LSAT, but a bit higher GPA . . . I also sent my application the week it became available on LSAC . . . its getting a little late in the game. . . . I think their deadline is Feb 15th, but they might be less likely to take a "holistic approach" candidate this late.

LOL @ 4.0 being "a bit higher GPA" than 3.6.

You would have a much better chance if you ED'd to Mich. and applied way earlier.

Most schools will not admit someone who is below both medians without epic softs.

i dunno, i think it's worth a try. michigan's supposed one of those who looks at the person as much (or almost as much) as the scores, aren't they? besides, it's better to try than to not try and think what could have been...with your scores, you could get waitlisted too, which is a second chance for you to show them you belong.
