GMU part time

Postby Mullyman » Thu Jan 21, 2010 4:03 pm

I have checked my stat's on lawschoolpredictor and LSN. I recently sent in my applications, and checked the box for FT or PT consideration at GMU. On the predictor it says for FT I have a weak consider, and PT it says Consider.

My stats are 160LSAT and 3.4 GPA.

Any one have any insight into GMU admissions with my numbers?? thanks.

I had a 159 LSAT and 3.1 GPA last year when i applied PT. I was rejected.
Applied PT again this year with 166 LSAT and i was accepted 10 days after my application went complete.

It appears that GMU is trying really hard to pull up their ranking and even GMU PT is no joke, you either need a really high GPA (>3.7) or LSAT of at least 164 to get in. In fact, my friend talked to GMU admissions and they literally told her that if her LSAT isn't at or above 164, her chances aren't good.

In any event, apply and see what happens. Maybe you have an honors in Economics some incredible soft that really set you apart.

Thanks for all the responses. I applied end of last week, and GMU is definately a reach school that I applied to. I am interested in their part time, as I feel full time is out of the question with my numbers. On the application I choose the box that said be consiedered full time and part time, should I just have selected the part time? Anybody who is part time, or got accepted to part time thinking about transferring to the full time after 1L? Thanks again for all the responses!
