what is mail order bride? i dont get other people either. i'm 24 yrs old female and i'm going to get married this year. i want to plan out when to give birth to babies, whether before or after law school. and if i have to retake the lsat as most suggests on this board, i might as well just have a child this year rather than after law school, when i would be 29 yrs old. it's just this simple i dun understand why people are having issue with this? is it because those who reply are all men? or that Chinese and American have different ideas about when is the best time to give birth to babies? in China people want to give birth to babies before 30 yrs old.

Sounds like your husband has a good job, enough to support both of you. Why dont you just have a child and start your family first and go to law school later? You may decide you dont even want to do it. Sounds like you are newly married and thinking of starting a family, why instantly destroy your savings by going to law school? That will take all of your husbands money and you wont be able to save for the future if he has to pay for you to go to law school.

I would say have a baby, or wait a bit, but just have him pay for you to go to community college and get a useful, practical degree for a lot less stress and a LOT LOT less money.

去JDUNDERGROUND.COM 看看NYLS/HOFSTTTRA 毕业生做什么样的工作.

wow my chinese is getting really bad. sigh i guess that s what happens when you are an ABC.

1) Don't say that having babies is a good thing, because Americans will look down on you due to cultural differences.
2) All the schools on your list suck. You should retake.
3) $90k is a shitty salary that won't cover your tuition.

Reply:
I don't want to retake, because it would prolong our LDR and I want to be together. And I thought $90k was a really high salary that would easily pay for tuition. What am I missing here?

Reply:
LDR is tough but he should be able to wait for you. Tuition is $150k. A higher LSAT would get you scholarships.

I know the cultural difference, but regardless having a baby and going to school sucks. Also, getting your first career type job and having a baby isn't easy either.... Working long hours or having school full time does not leave much time to take care of your child well enough or spend enough time with the child.

Just think of it this way, for Chinese people, children are a given, everything else happens with the perfect understanding that children WILL be had, and had as soon as possible. Exclude this from consideration, it's not about yourself, it's about the children.

Um... I am well aware of cultural differences. I grew up abroad actually and English is sort of my second language. Anyway.. If it is about the children, I think OP will realize that having a young child during law school is a very bad idea. If anyone else thinks that having a newborn during law school or at the start of a big firm career is a good idea, they are nuts! I know this happens all the time, but it isn't the best scenario to have for the parent and for the child.
