3.8 176 Engineering
3.82 UGPA
176 LSAT (one time)
T50 UG Computer Engineering
Stanford MSEE 3.9ish GPA
2 years work exp in my field
Summer internship in my field
Research/2 publications in my field
Fellowship for grad studies for MSEE (granted by EE department at stanford).
Few honors societies/dean list/graduation honors
A few notes: My gpa would be a bit higher except for this one summer I took summer classes at community college and for varying reasons, I ended up with a 2.5 there. My degree GPA will probably show 3.92. Maybe an addendum for it.
$$$ is important as I don't want to end up locked into biglaw. My concerns are my lowish gpa for top 3 and lack of traditional law school softs, although I feel I have strong softs in my field of study.
Is it wise if I go for $$$ at lower end/middle T14 given my background for job prospects?
Chances at (Ranked in order):
Stanford
Berkeley
Harvard
Yale
Columbia
Chicago
NYU

In my 0L opinion I'd say you are pretty much a lock everywhere but Yale. I bet you'd get some decent scholarship money from the T6. It's nice to see some fellow engineers applying to law school.

Congrats on your terrific numbers, I'd say you're in everywhere. A 3.82 in Engineering is impressive.

Stanford and Harvard will admit you. Yale will probably admit you, but they're unpredictable. Everyone else on that list will admit you and throw money at you (Berkeley only some, though; they're broke). Stanford, in particular, is known for favoring hard majors over easy ones, so a 3.82 in Engineering might even be enough to get some money at Stanford.
