I've been considering a trip to tour Northeast T-14 law schools (Harvard, Yale, NYU, Columbia, Penn) plus Chicago and Northwestern next spring (2014). I'll be applying in the 2014-2015 cycle, though, and I'm wondering how useful those tours will be. Do adcomms create files of visitors before they apply? How will they match that up to my application? Can I use these tours to bolster targeted personal statements and Why X addendums?
Or should I just consider this a vacation?

I would visit after applying/after acceptance.
