I think it's important to visit the city, particularly if you're looking at more regional schools--you don't want to go to Bama blind and find out after six months that you hate the South. Danger Zone is right on the campuses though. "Hey look, you have desks! And law books! And power outlets! Neat!"

what could you possibly learn from your visit?

You could learn that some rooms in Pound Hall at Harvard Law uses seats that are mounted to the floor. For those of us in the larger side (6'+ and 240lbs+) it is quite uncomfortable as you spend a lecture shoved into the table in front of you.

hemengway should probably be the biggest selling point. even though closing at 8 on fridays is pretty lame.
