Apologies if this has come up in a different thread, but couldn't find it. Does anyone know whether Northwestern subsidizes travel to visit?

Re: Which schools sponsor admitted student visits?
Alabama flew me out from CA and put me up in a hotel, they were also willing to pay for my wife to accompany me but she couldn't find time in the schedule. I asked other schools I was considering if they'd pay for my trip and many said yes. I never took them up on the offer because I already decided to attend Bama.
If the school doesn't offer it you should ask. Many schools will pay if you ask but they don't generally offer it.

I know with Mason being one of the cheapest deals in town, this isn't likely, but has anyone heard of a stipend from them for visiting?
I don't mind asking them, but I'd rather avoid it if anyone knows the answer.

GTown's first event is the end of January. That's not that long to wait, and it looks like it'll be very informative--plus, they offer accomodations with a studentThe Agitator wrote:Does this apply only to admitted student events? If I decide to just visit their on my own, will they offer anything? I'm going to try to visit some Duke and GTown in the coming weeks since I'm already in, but they won't have admitted student events until next semester.

Tried to find the info myself, but failed. Anyone know anything about Iowa, Minnesota, or UIUC?

Boalt gives you $300 travel stipend for airfare if you are out of state. If you book and dont end up going you will owe them the money back.CoaltoNewCastle wrote:I'm curious about Boalt. Anybody know?

From What I've gathered Iowa reimburses you up to $250 in travel expenses IF you matriculate with them.

Minnesota gives 300 only to out of state kids- Georgia will offer up free housing with one of their current students.
