Washington and Lee and Wake Forest really like it when applicants visit and it does play a part in the decision.

Re: What should my trip be?
I actually emailed WL a couple days ago to request/plan a visit after Christmas...not that it will help me when they make a decision BEFORE then, but oh well I'd really like to go see the campus.ran12 wrote:Washington and Lee and Wake Forest really like it when applicants visit and it does play a part in the decision.

It depends on the schools you're applying to, obviously. If you're going to NYU and Columbia I'm assuming you're looking at Penn, which is the closest T-14 to the former two (albeit a good chunk of time to get from NYC to Philly). Visiting at these schools isn't really much of a soft, unless you're using it for a letter of continuing interest.admisionquestion wrote:I have no clas in january and almost no money, ill have to beg parents.i live kn the midwest. I will be going to nyu and columbia to tour where else is it worth the money to tour. How big of a super minor soft is a visit? Transit advise?

you can hop a boltbus or megabus really cheap from nyc to philly (2.5 hr bus ride). cheap and easy. i would add penn if you figure out the logistics for being in philly.

I wouldn't spend a dime on visiting a school before you get in.
