Just remember the best looking parts are not the law school Law school is pretty much in the corner of the campus. But of course the whole campus is within walking distance and you are welcome to utilize any part of it. I don't know if law students just stay around the law school, but the rest of the school is very much mixed together. I have classes in 3 different parts of the campus. Most of the buildings are very magnificent.

Maybe it's because I actually live in Philly, but I happen to think Penn is quite ugly.

Happened to be around Columbia today so I thought I'd try to take some shots of the inside of the law building at Columbia.

That place is like a fortress! I don't know if it was cuz it's the weekend, but you need keycards just to get into the building and even to use the elevators. I managed to catch a door as someone was leaving and snap some shots inside, but I couldn't really get anywhere in the building. Here are some pics though! Sorry about some of the blurriness...was trying not to be too obvious haha

Now if I could get that envelope...

r6, this is one of those rare times I gotta disagree with you.. compared to other law schools, this is pretty fugly.

lol it isn't pretty, but has a bare utilitarian feel, but better than the concrete at Boalt. I think I like the WTC look, the statue out front, and the wood paneling.

Yeah, general impressions when I was inside....

It was like an aging but refurbished office building. Some spots definitely showed age and looked pretty crappy like the elevators which were dark and small. The nicer areas looked...tacked on - some wood paneling, stainless steel attachments added to make the building look more modern. Overall, it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be inside (based on the outside), but it was the most....normal, sterile, and office-y law school I've seen.

CLS is nice and has a modern feel with modern amenities. If you went to a State School you can appreciate the law school hall for sure.

The pictures probably feel sterile because they are taken at night (you only see artificial lighting in a building designed to channel sunlight) with empty halls with a poor choice of indoor shots (sorry for the critique).

Along with the lobby and Lenfest Cafe, there are some 'defining' shots missing from the posted photos. I like the outdoor ones though.

Our photographer was kind of just sneaking around and couldn't get access everywhere, so that probably explains the limited views/lack of the pretty places :)

It would be priceless if that led to some sort of of addendum writing.
