My SO was there the first day at NYU and not the second day. As much as it was awesome having him there, I think I enjoyed having the opportunity to interact more with other admitted students when he wasn't there today, and I kind of wish he hadn't been there yesterday. I mean, it's important for an SO to be there (much more than parents or friends), since where you live may well affect both of you, but only in the search-for-apartments sense. Otherwise, it made it difficult to befriend people when there was someone to talk to already and who couldn't engage in law school chit-chat.

I plan on spitting some game to the women at the cocktail party afterward. So no.

Man, every time you post something about a cocktail reception I literally laugh out loud. I think I will attend the reception just to see if I can figure out who you are!

I stand out a bit, but it will be interesting if you can actually spot me. If you think you have me you can just approach me and ask.
