I saw on the registration page it asks if we'll be accompanied by a parent or significant other so I was wondering if any of you are bringing a guest or are you just going alone? I'll probably just go alone but I wanted to see what everyone else was doing.. :)
I recommend coming solo, when you have guests, especially parents, they seem more like baggage. To put it in perspective its like being in the bridal party for a wedding but yet bringing a date. It's more fun when you're not worried bout your date, if that helps.

I did not get any email after registering. But I called them a few weeks later and I was listed as attending, so it must have worked

I'll be at ASW too....I'm wondering if the Heat are playing at home then. Also going to a Red Sox spring training game in Fort Myers the day before..very pumped to be out of the cold!

I know the Cavs will be on the telly, I need to find a place that carries NBA League Pass.

I'm pretty sure it is early, say 9ish. From the lack of responses to this thread, I think its goning to be a small get together as far as going out is concerned.

I'm not real worried bout the start time. Like my boy Mike Isabella said, it's whatever whatever.

We'll put somthing together for thurs and fri, as long as you got the right people it can still be a real fun time. I'll contact ya as the time draws near and leave a post for anybody that wants to join in to meet us at a designated spot.

Where are people thinking of living next year? I've been searching the internet for places in case I end up attending, and was shocked at how much some places cost (i.e. >$1,000/month) . Quite a difference in the COL from Ann Arbor.

If I attend I'll need somewhere that's very safe but most importantly quiet. Gotta actually do work believe it or not lol. I'll prolly try to room with other 1Ls so that should lessen the cost.

I was looking around too and for me it's either rent a room or an efficiency. It all depends on how picky you are, but a room/efficiency can run you anywhere from $500 - $900/month.

For me personally, I need a place that is quiet and safe. Other than that, as cheap as possible :-D

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make ASW this weekend, but if people could post about their experience that would be greatly appreciated! :D

I'm just going to float it out there one more time but I'm seriously looking for a ride from the airport to the Grove if someone local would be so generous.

My flight arrives at 10:30 am on Wed. and if someone could spare me the cab fare I would much appreciate it, I will buy whoever picks me up lunch, and I'd much rather have lunch with a classmate than drop $30 to a cabbie.

PM me if you would like to be a good samaritan.

I'm staying at the Hampton inn coral gables. For Thursday let's meet at the bar at the Biltmore hotel. It's near campus and the bar is really nice from what I hear. It's a start then we can work our way to south beach or somewhere close.

Let's say we meet at the biltmore round 830 or 9. Anyone with objections speak now or forever hold your peace.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
