I'll be at this one as well, pretty psyched.
When are you guys planning on getting in? The Wednesday of or Tuesday before it starts?

I am in. RSVP'd a while ago and got a reminder e-mail yesterday. Reminding me to RSVP, anyone else get this even though they already RSVP'd?

I'm really trying to make it. I missed the last one because of mid-terms. Unfortunately I have a few mid-terms that week!

Also, why have ASW on a Wens and Thurs? It is much harder to make it on a Wens than a Fri.

How did you get assigned a mock class? I only see on the schedule when they will be, I did not see that I was assigned to one.

yup. see y'all there.

I got Prof Morrison also, apparently this should be about the Intro to Rugby Union --LinkRemoved-- (google image is my default search)
for reals though, his profile says he focuses on bankruptcy but from the reading it looks like it will just be 1L Contracts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamer_v._S ... f_the_case

I haven't received a case. Interesting. I wonder if I should contact them.

Edit: I sent an e-mail. I am in Professor Greene's class and have been assigned Brown v Board.

Agree that this is rather odd.

For those doing the Columbia/NYU deal, how are you guys breaking down 4/8? I hear the morning of 4/8 at NYU isn't really important, so I might just go down to NYU a little later in the afternoon...

Amazing time! Professor Greenberg made a surprise visit to our mock class. He was council on Brown v Board. Amazing! I think CLS is for me!

Hope you all had a wonderful visit! We really enjoyed meeting you guys, and hope you got a sense of what student life is like at Columbia! :)

Totally awesome visit! (Excuse my teenagish enthusiasm here.) Top notch ASD!

What did you all think?

I was all set to go to (easily the most financially attractive offer I have), but now I'm not so sure.

Really? I think that their ASW made the decision for me (in favor of Columbia).

I thought NYU's ASW was far better, but I think the atmosphere at Columbia was more to my liking. I liked the facilities and student body. If you look past the quality of the ASW programs themselves, I think CLS is the better choice, well for me at least.

I reacted really strongly to the two ASWs. Morningside Heights + Columbia made me hate NYC + re-think law school at all; NYU's really inspired me + reminded me why I want to go to law school, and Greenwich Village was the New York I was looking for/imagining...

I haven't gotten my FinAid from either school yet, but barring any eleventh hour acceptances or massive finaid from Columbia I'll be at NYU next year...

Obviously, each person has their own preferences, but I was wondering if you could talk about this feeling in details? As someone who's lived and gone to law school in Morningside Heights and loved it for the last three years, it's hard to imagine how two days here could make you hate NY and law school in general.

I remember loving both NYU and CLS so it's hard for me to imagine either of them making someone "hate NYC + re-think law school at all."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
