+1, I want to look smarter than everyone else in the mock class. It's the key first step on the road to graduating in the top 1% of the class.

we might all be in the same mock class... please don't make me feel dumb (i'm planning on doing the reading on the plane. bad idea?).

how many people do you think will be going to the ASW?

Since guests are encouraged to use the overflow room during some event (I forget which one) due to high volume, it sounds like a lot of people will be there. I'll probably do the reading on the plane, too!

I think that may be a bad idea, considering the fact that everyone else will have done the reading multiple times, highlighted it, & outlined it by Thursday. hth.

(I'm actually planning on doing my reading on the plane too--I think that's fine, but then again I haven't turned into a gunner just yet.)

I can't speculate on the number of people going to this ASW, but I think most people will go in April because the weather will be nicer & people still in UG will be on spring break around then. Hopefully that means this one won't be super crowded and crazy...

I'm not bringing any guests. My mom is coming to New York with me, but she has stuff to do for work so I'll be going to the ASW events alone. The more I think about it, the more I'm happy to go alone, since it's easier to plan which classes and events I want to attend.

doubt it, that would be pretty intensely overcrowded.

I'll be there. I'm driving, so wish me luck finding parking near Morningside Heights (I may just settle for a garage).

The route I would take is the 1 downtown from Columbia to 59th St-Columbus Circle and switch there to the downtown A, B or D express to W 4th St. The 1 is a local, so it's a lot slower than the express trains, and the W 4th St stop is a little closer to NYU than Sheridan Square is.
This is probably the best way.
Agreed. The A/B/D stop is closer to NYU than the 1 stop is, so you'll spend less time wandering around the Village trying to find NYU. (The Village is very manageable once you get used to it, but your first few trips will probably result in lots of confusion... the streets aren't in a coherent grid.)
