Already changed mine....DR 4/14 today too. Has anyone who called and found out they are on reserve changed to DR now? Mine changed to EAC on the same day as many reserves....

Relax everyone. I called yesterday at EAC and was put on reserve. Status check now says DR 4/14 now. So it could be anything.

I would love to know what the percentage of EA applications was that actually got accepted since the beginning of the cycle.

"Hey these kids are applying EA they must really want to come here, lets screw with them the hardest."

DR 4/14 as well. Can't help but think it's just a cosmetic/administrative change.

DR 4/14

What's the bet that the decision is "reserve"?

I think chances of reserve are pretty good. Jks's status is at DR 4/14 as well and my bet is all the people who called last week have seen their status change to DR 4/14. We just didn't call. Maybe it is wishful thinking.

FYI:

Received my reserve letter in the mail yesterday. Sometime last night or this morning, the status checker changed to decision 04/14/2010.

Just got the reserve letter in the mail. Looks like it's no different from our status ever since this insanity began in December. Now they want to give us another deadline by which if they don't hear from us, they'll take us off the list. At this point, there's almost no way I'd take Cornell at full price over Texas, so I'm probably not going to stick around. Really sorry for all of you who are/were Cornell-or-bust -- they really messed up this cycle and will miss out on a lot of great students as a result.

Yup, DR 4/14. What's the deadline? I'm not at home to check my mail...

I've headed to work since getting the mail, but IIRC it's about a month from now -- mid-May.

You guys who went DR 4/14, when was your initial DR? Are they reviewing the apps in order?

Um...some time in November? I can't remember...

(sorry for overposting haha but i need to respond to this)

I agree, the status is the same as in december, and this is nothing short of insanity. I think Cornell just messed up royally, and unfortunately I have a feeling it's because they were so spoiled with applicants that they just didn't care about those 166-169/3.5-3.7 kids who applied EA.

at this point, there is no way I'm going to wait it out after months of no communication and more to follow, with the prospect of paying full price for Cornell (read: middle of nowhere Ithaca) over a really big scholly at sunny SoCal USC

USC is a great school...just depends where you want to work and how confident you are that you are amazing enough to get a job in the place you want if it is outside USC's market.

I think placement stats matter, but I also think that if you are awesome you can get a job in more places than the stats might suggest.

And Cornell is expensive. Really expensive. How much $$ did USC give you?
