What approximately is your rank?

How long does it take to get to school from your apt on the BART?

Including walking time and BART, it takes about 35-40 minutes to get from my apartment door to school.

That is fine, just wanted to see approximately.

Did you find that many people ranked above you found decent summer internships?

First year or second year? Assuming you mean 2nd year, I really have no idea yet. Everything was chaotic last semester with the ongoing job search followed immediately by finals, so I didn't have much of an opportunity to discuss jobs with anybody. Any guess I gave you would be totally speculative, which isn't very helpful.

did you stay at your apartment 1st yr? would you recommend that 1st yrs stay very close to "campus" or in the towers or is it fine to stay 30, 40 min away?

In today! I was totally surprised to find it in my mailbox. So excited! My first acceptance to somewhere that I would actually go!! I'm in Oakland btw so I'm sure those of you who are farther away will hear early next week.

Forest Hill is an extremely residential neighborhood far from everything and a 30 minute muni ride from Hastings. I'm really not trying to be a jerk but there's nothing worse than moving to a new city and finding out you picked the wrong apt.

Also in today (letter was dated Jan 7th). Application was sent in early November as well. I live a stone's throw from UC Hastings, so accepted people on the east coast may not get anything until Monday.
