Try changing your password. The registration page indicates that applicants can receive an Emory ID but cannot change their passwords until they are accepted.

well I was WL and I tried to get one earlier but couldn't.

I called them this morning to check on my application. They expect to have decisions sent out by the end of March. I hope it's before then, but that is the time they said.

So I just got my admission packet and logged into opus but didn't see anything about scholarship on there, only loans. All my numbers twins and lower got good money from Emory, so does Emory just not like me or what? Can I expect a scholarship later?

Wow, this could be bad. I've been making my plans under the assumption that Emory would give me a similar scholarship as all the others. Now I gotta scramble and get a letter to them. Deposit time is coming up real soon. Ack!

So if I try that network ID link and it says there is no ID, does that mean I didn't get in and a rejection letter is on the way?

A "no ID" on the OPUS link means 1. rejection OR 2. waitlist.

There might be a possibility that they just haven't made a decision yet at all, whether acceptance, WL or rejection. You can call the admissions office and they are allowed to tell you whether a decision has been made yet, and when it was mailed to you... they just can't outright tell you the outcome.

same, but I applied late. And when I called they made it seem like that's just the way it is and there's nothing I can do about it.

Man, I don't get it. There are some guys on LSN who applied after I did and still got money. I wonder what was wrong with me.

Quick question....sorry if this has been asked before or is easy to find haha

On the financial aid awards site, if you are awarded a scholarship, is that renewable for all three years? I didn't receive any other notification about this scholarship so I'm curious as to whether its just for the first year or if it renews. If it renews, does anyone know if Emory puts conditions on that? I e-mailed financial aid, but I figured you guys might be faster haha

It's renewable for all three years, and all you have to do to keep it is stay in good academic standing.

I also called about this and apparently all it means is you can't get put on academic probation.

Are you considering, or are you going to take UNC?

Thanks man ... and you read my mind. I'm honestly not sure at this point. But I have to say, my rationale for liking UNC as a means to get closer to Atlanta took a few damage points, huh? Why be close if you can be "there"?

I think I'm going to drop deposits on 3 schools, visit, and decide. Pitt will be one of them. The other 2, we'll see ... but it doesn't make sense, to me, to deposit both on UNC and Emory, at least for my purposes. I guess affordability will be an important factor. But man, Atlanta .....

So I just got an email about 'important information from the dean' about first year curriculum changes. At the bottom of the email it says I received it because I am an admitted student. Is there anyway this is a mistake? Or does this mean there is an admittance package waiting for me at home? (I'm at my girlfriends house for spring break all this week)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
