IN, from preferred priority WL, by letter dated March 15, which I got in the mail today. 169/3.74, non-urm. The thing is, though, I did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to woo them once I was WL'd. No LOCI; no extra LOR; no emails or phone calls.

haha wow. makes me feel foolish for trying so hard.

maybe they're just waiting on mine so they can give me some moneies!

Concerning the admitted students website, I sent an email out to GULC and they responded with this:

"Unfortunately, it is against university policy to give decisions by email (or phone) – even if the news is good! In any event, Sophia did ask me to let you know that if admitted, students will have access to the Admitted Student website after a 4-day delay. A link to the site is available on our homepage, under “General Info for Prospective Applicants”: http://www.law.georgetown.edu/admissions/. Through this site, students will have access to enrollment procedures, deadlines, campus visiting information, curriculum, etc."

Therefore if your decision was rendered on 3/15, chances are you won't be able to log in until 3/19.

^ OMG. My decision was rendered on 3/17/10. I cannot fucking wait for the 21st. OMG!!! And no waitlist/reject e-mail, so god it might be good news....wow it would be so amazing to be a member of the infamous T-14!!

I think there might have been more UR dates, but hope this helps. I have a google doc tracking these dates....

SPWL, WLed 2/19, decision rendered 3/15, but haven't gotten my letter yet (I live in NYC, obviously).

Congrats to the people who got off the waitlist! I have just joined this SPWL so look likey they are filling out all the spots they opened up this week? Did everyone get admitted off the SPWL?

It seems that everyone who received a decision off the waitlist was accepted but there are many who have not received a decision. I think everyone will end up getting off it will just take some time.

Our email promise an update by mid April, I presume after they count the deposits. Does that mean if we are accepted then there will be no chance at $$?

It seems that everyone who received a decision off the waitlist was accepted but there are many who have not received a decision. I think everyone will end up getting off it will just take some time.

if you get a decision off the spwl, it's safe to assume that it is an acceptance. there's no reason for them to reject people from the top tier of their waitlist this early or at all before the first day of class

You're in the special group within the preferred WL? Others in this group were promised an update by 3/22 (so like, today), but you're saying mid-April. Hmmm... (I've been on the SPWL since December and was not given a date, only told I'd be updated).

Yes the special group within the preferred WL, DR 3/19. The email I got today states "will update you no later than mid April".

Don't tell me there is a super special section within the special group in the preferred waiting list I do get the feeling that they want to admit but they just went over the quota for my numbers. Unlike the Penn WL email this one doesn't ask for any updated materials, just ask if I have any deadlines or travel plans. I think this is more like a hold/defer until they have more room after more people withdraw.

3/22 is so close. i woke up today really hoping i'd be UR 3/19. i wonder what this update will constitute though. i don't the bulk of the movement happening on the waitlist until the deposit deadline has passed.

Accepted off SPWL via acess to admitted students website. Waiting for actual letter. DR 3/5. Numbers are 3.6, 171. I'm hoping the acceptance is for the full time and not the part time program. I'm excited but I feel like I might decline their offer. I need a school with a good basketball program, like Cornell.

My guess is that when they were sending out the later SPWL letters, they had a more realistic understanding of when the next wave would be accepted. (Mine was 2/25 and I had gotten the 3/22 update date)

I got an update from my "contact," regarding the 3/22 date, and she said that while they definitely plan to update us at that time, they will not necessarily be able to tell us when a decision will come. Boo.

my status changed to DR on 3/9 and i got an email about the special preferred WL. i checked my status checker today and it no longer says DR; it says UR 3/19. i don't get it... so, are they now reviewing my app again? does everybody on the waitlist go from UR to DR to UR again?

Sounds like you got in. Look like they have been putting new people on the SPWL and accepting the people that were on the list before.
