Are any splitters' dates getting updated or is it just people with stronger numbers?

I was updated to 3/9 and then 3/12 as well, and I had that 03/15 DR glitch.

I'm a splitter with a 3.43/171 but I have pretty interesting work experience (not that that matters much), wrote a LOCI about getting a Jesuit highschool education and how important it is to me, and I'm Cuban American (not a URM but I'm sure it helps a little)

My numbers are the same as those on SPWL so I am guessing they didn't like my softs...why not just reject me outright? Any theories?

I think it will depend on the context. If they lose a desirable applicant that was doing something for their LSAT or GPA median, and they want you to replace that person, they might dangle some money to sweeten the deal. If, on the other hand, they just need "filler" for the class, probably not; there are plenty of applicants on the regular and preferred WL who would be eager to pay sticker. But then, being on the SPWL is probably a safe indication you have something -- whether it be GPA, LSAT, or Zing (tm), that they want.

I basically said that I was interested in staying on the SPWL, Georgetown was my first choice, asked how many people were on the list and how many might be admitted, and some personal travel related stuff. All I got was "Thanks".

...meaning it wasn't a glitch the first time either. Can't believe they'll make you guys wait. It has to be an acceptance though, why would they just reject a bunch of people from the top tier of their waitlist.

i'm thinking it's unlikely that they'll offer a scholarship to someone from the WL. i'm accepted and asked for a scholarship, and got classified as an alternate. i think there are quite a few alternates, and not many of us will end up with money. i don't see how they'd skip all the alternates and offer money to someone on the WL, but i could be completely wrong there. just guessing.

That doesn't mean much. I wasn't able to login in right after I received my letter. I think it took a couple of days. Don't worry too much.
