I think these should provide a clear picture of Cleveland
Oh my gosh. That was something else.
"Come and look at both of our buildings......"

I really love those videos. Very funny.

I don't really know how to describe Cleveland as far as how "fun" it is because I don't know anything else. I've been in this area my whole life. There are good restaurants. There is the Rock Hall and the Great Lakes Science Center. There are museums, bars, zoos, malls, movie theaters. I'm not sure what certain people are looking for in a city or the areas around it but if you can live with the cold and the snow I do think Cleveland can be a very fun place to live. We do have Lake Erie (which yeah, isn't the cleanest lake in the world, but it can be fun when the Tall Ships come into town or to go to Edgewater to watch 4th of July fireworks).

There are also things you can do a few hours from here on weekends, like taking a ferry to Put-in-Bay, driving up to Cedar Point, going to Amish country. Of course, those are limited to the warmer months. There are ski resorts for winter if you enjoy skiing. About 40 minute South of Cleveland you can find some great county fairs in the summer. (Medina, Wayne, etc)

That's what I know about Cleveland. I don't think any of it makes it a particularly spectacular city, but it certainly isn't totally void of fun.
I'm sure it's a cool city. The lake is a huge bonus. How does it compare to Cincinnati?
No idea. I've never been to Cincinnati.

I'm visiting Case tommorrow, well, that is if the potential snow storm doesn't stop me. I'm pretty excited because I don't know if I'll be able to make it back for accepted students' day. I'm from Ohio and have been to the Ug campus, but I've never seen the law building. Yay!

Hi, I went complete in late December. I had submitted my application in October though. I know the admissions committee didn't officially meet until beginning of January, I received a phone call mid-January from a faculty member and received an e-mail the day after stating I was accepted and receiving scholarship money. Your best bet if you haven't heard yet is to call the school and ask about your application status. They should be able to answer any and all questions and then you'll get a direct answer. Hope this helps.

The admissions committee met before then. I was accepted December 23.

And that would be why I said "officially". The law school has and will tell you that they didn't begin to review files until January, obviously a fallacy.

I am not sure yet, I have a few full-ride offers and was admitted to Iowa. I looked at Case for undergraduate studies, but I did not end up picking it. I was planning to visit for the Admitted Student Weekend on the 19th and 20th of March. How about you?

still on the fence man, but it's looking promising. I'm from FL so cleveland will be a change, but a welcomed one. I'm looking at another local school as people here will tell you ive been trying to decide b/t the two. to be frank, im sure ive annoyed some people about it, but it's an important decision. however, I am visiting this friday to take a look when the weather is still cold to see if I can put up with it. So far, Case is the highest ranked school ive gained admission to, but unsure if it is the best fit for me and for my money!

Well, good luck on the decision. I'm from Chicago (go to college in Wisconsin) and you get used to the cold. :D If you wouldn't mind letting me know, would you mind sharing your feelings on your visit? You can PM me or write back on here. I'd greatly appreciate that.

Thanks everyone! :D

Here are the requirements for the scholarship. I think it's the same as what everyone else has:

a. A GPA of 3.15 or higher is required to retain your full scholarship;
b. A GPA of 2.80 and less than 3.15 will earn you half of the original scholarship amount;
c. With a GPA of less than 2.80, no scholarship will be earned.

I haven't visited the campus yet, but I likely will be once I get back to Ohio in April.

The date on my status checker just changed from "Committee Review 2/18" to 3/4... is this a sign? Maybe?

My status date also changed from 2/18 to 3/4. I hope this means something.

Also, to those who were accepted, did you receive your admissions and scholarship info by email or by snail mail?
