Any current CWRU students, do you know if there are any of the credit unions in the cleveland area that students can join?

And by that you mean me? haha.

Anyway, sorry. I don't know of any credit unions. But there are tons of banks around. Most people have Key.

Still in review - Case easily receives 'the most complicated application process ever' Award - and I have gone through both graduate school and now a law school application process.

Does anyone have any clue as to when the next round of decisions will be sent out? At this point Im aware that the possibility of recieving an unfavorable decision are very high but I just need to know asap, this cycle has been a long and tiring process and I just want to get it over with.

I'm not sure. I wonder how many people have put in the binding and non-binding deposits. I heard they are trying to shrink the class size a little. It has been a little over 210 the past few years and I think there was something said about making it 205 or so. Maybe someone remembers? Anyway, I wonder how close they are to that number. Have you tried calling? The admissions people are really nice.

Hey, on 4/1/10 I was placed on the waitlist and got an email saying:

"Our class is now full and we will not be able to extend an offer of admission to you at this time. However, the potential withdrawal of admitted candidates may open additional places therefore; we have placed you on our spring/summer wait list."

I'm sure a lot of spots have opened up since the deposit deadline though.

Sigh. I was told I would know by the end of last week.

Nothing.

Emailed on Monday (yesterday) - told I would hear back by the end of the day.

Nothing.

:( I am waiting on Case because it was my top choice.

Then with that whole phone interview fiasco..

The last time I called Nadia Castrio said she wasn't sure as they were still waiting on the June seat deposit to make anymore offers of admissions and that any decision made before then would be a rejection or waitlist. She said that they were way past the 210 mark and that they had gotten more seat deposits than they had anticipated so after that I figured I won't be getting any good news from then and I simply cannot wait for June deposit to know of my fate at case. I don't want to withdraw tho. I applied to all my schools in September of last year and untill now my cycle still isn't complete, I just want to know already.

Damn, June? This is kinda depressing. At any rate, Case is my top choice so I'm willing to ride out the waitlist.

I went into review on 3/24 and then into second review 4/1 and was accepted on 4/9. Unless I am the exception I don't think their class was full on 4/1.

Do you mind telling us your numbers and the date you went to committee review please.

I have been in com review since early March. It has changed a few times (with dates), most recently to "awaiting phone interview," but the status is now back to com review.

Last week when I was waiting for news from Case, as they had said I would hear by the end of last week, I received good news from Pitt. Thank goodness for unexpected good news.

Yes. March 1st.

That is the problem. I applied "late" in December and didn't hear about my acceptance until the end of March.

In admissions, especially law, it is of a huge advantage to apply in Sept/Oct.
You are not telling me some thing I did not already know. I am not complaining; I am just frustrated with hearing that I will know by a certain time and then that date not being fulfilled.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
