You come in as a "Consider" on LSP, which is about a 50/50 shot. From what others have posted so far, it seems that they may be trying to boost their GPA #'s because many ppl with above median LSAT and below median GPA have been waitlisted or rejected. Did you write a GPA addendum? Hopefully you are far enough removed that it won't hurt your chances. Good luck and keep us posted!

Full time. Numbers are very low, so every school is a reach. 2.9/158. According to LSP I should've only applied to TTT and TTTT schools. I am considering retaking the LSAT and going through the process again next year, but I really dont want to have to do that. I'm a single mother. Its difficult to explain but this was a window opportunity to do something with my life and I went for it. Didn't really have the time to prepare for the LSAT and get all my ducks in a row. So I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping they recognize what I went through to get to this point in my life. Most people say only the numbers matter. If thats the case I'm kind of screwed.

Im have a 2.9 with a 159 and heard back fairly quick (accepted). I would think that your numbers are good enough to get in.

Jerzeegirl, I think you have a better chance if you apply PT..But still, I think you will get WL/Accepted as is..

Go for it, I think you'll be ok....

Who knows, but I doubt it has anything to do with your app. Maybe YP?

My status checker shows they sent an acceptance letter and scholarship letter on 2/09 but as of yet I haven't received a thing. I guess I should call about that.

I think the date on the status checker is the date the letter was generated, not necessarily the date they mailed it out. My acceptance took about 10 days or so, and the scholarship letter came a few days after that.

+1

Date of my acceptance and scholarship letter say 2/9, but haven't received either. Thanks for the reply-- I figured that probably didn't mail them out that day.

I'm getting impatient waiting tho!!

I have a dumb question. On the LSAC site, it says my application was transmitted on 1/16. Where do you go to see if you were accepted or not? Everyone talks about "Status Checker" I just can't see anywhere that says Status Checker. Sorry for the question and I know I am going to get beat up on here for this.

I have not heard from Hofstra through mail yet. 3.1/153

Good luck everyone and thanks for helping.

Go here

http://law.hofstra.edu/JDAdmissions/index.html

and about a quarter of the way down the page click "Check Application Status Online." That's the status checker everyone keeps talking about. You should have gotten an email from them saying that you can check your status online, and they give you a username and password. If you haven't gotten that email, I would call or email the admissions office letting them know. Good luck!

That was ridiculous. They didn't tell you how to format the birthdate, should have given an example. I tried it 10 different ways before it worked. Makes you wonder about the school a little bit....

I know!! I kept doing it w/o the slashes because you usually don't include the slashes. It did make me wonder...but I am going to visit and check it out.

Still waiting for my scholarship/acceptance letter from 2/9! Anyone else getting anxious?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
