My status checker changed some time that morning. I received an e-mail later that day, maybe around 4 or 5. The snail mail package came about 4 days later.

If you want to go, send an LOCI.

Aso to getting in before April, take a look at the historical data on LSN and see if they look at their WL before the deposit deadline.. Some Schools do, some dont.

I'll be at the reception Friday. I wanted to attend the events Saturday but it's my son's birthday and we scheduled his party long before I received the Hofstra invite. Let me know if you're going. It would be nice to (kind of) know someone there.

I don't think I'm going to make it Friday. I work in the city and it would be tough for me to get out there. I am thinking about going on Saturday though. If you make it on Friday let us know how it goes!

i sent my app in about 2 weeks ago, and 3 days ago my status changed to waitlist... Very fast turn around. I am assuming that because my app was so late in the cycle they already sent out a bunch of acceptances.

I sent mine 2/8, been "file with admissions committee" since 2/25. I have a good feeling about this week, hoping to hear from a few schools.

i checked this morning, and it was still like that
after i got the email, the status changed to accepted

Yes, complete 2/8, went to 'under review' for a few days and then 'file with admissions committee' 2/25

Bah, my app has been "Pending comittee review" since 2/23. To anyone that has been accepted: How long did it take to change your status to "With admissions comittee"? Sorry, I'm getting a bit antsy!

mine went pretty quickly to "file with admissions committee" after i applied
i don't even remember it says "pending committee review"

Got in @ Hofstra

! I wish I could have went to the admitted students forum in Miami. I may/may not be getting a scholarship. My status checker shows that it's sent out 2 more letters after the acceptance letter. Hopefully, they send me some money or I'll have to withdraw and go to UM instead.
