You're the best.Kretzy wrote:https://www.stanford.edu/dept/law/admit ... -sched.pdfLaina wrote:Is WhiskeyGuy the only special one with the ASW agenda too? I couldn't find it online.
The other packet only had the general Stanford shirt. It looked liked it was shipped from an athletic clothing store.Laina wrote:WhiskeyGuy wrote:Yup. A general Stanford shirt came in one packet. A Stanford Law School shirt was in the packet with the other admissions material.managamy wrote:They sent two shirts???WhiskeyGuy wrote:The acceptance packet arrived today! Great information, including the most recent edition of "Stanford Lawyer." Somehow Stanford sent the right shirt size for one shirt (large) but went awry in choosing the size of the other one (medium). I think I can forgive them
What? I have only one shirt and one packet to my name. I received the packet with the SLS folder, my acceptance letter, etc. What's in the other packet?
TOTALLY just realized this was last year's schedule. Really hoping some of the stuff stays the same (esp. sitting in on one of Karlan's or Sullivan's classes!).Laina wrote:You're the best.Kretzy wrote:https://www.stanford.edu/dept/law/admit ... -sched.pdfLaina wrote:Is WhiskeyGuy the only special one with the ASW agenda too? I feel so much less worthless now.WhiskeyGuy wrote:Boy, I feel bad now. Not only did I lead people down the path of looking at the 2009 ASW agenda as if it was the 2010 ASW agenda, I also suggested I received two t-shirts from SLS. Well, turns out one of them was from a family friend. She just called to ask if I received her gift. My apologies for making anyone feel unloved!
I also didn't want folks to think Faye Deal sent extra shirts to her favorites.managamy wrote:I feel so much less worthless now.WhiskeyGuy wrote:Boy, I feel bad now. FWIW, Admit Weekend will be substantially similar to last year's event, maybe even better in a few respects. Unfortunately, Karlan and Sullivan are teaching ConLaw I this quarter, and those taking ConLaw II next quarter (most of the 1Ls, I'm sure) will have different (but still awesome) profs. I'm not sure what classes will be available for visiting.Kretzy wrote: TOTALLY just realized this was last year's schedule. You can visit Sullivan this quarter, though, as I am!ndnlawdc wrote:FWIW, Admit Weekend will be substantially similar to last year's event, maybe even better in a few respects. I heard rumors of a golf outing at previous ASWs. Will that tradition be continuing this year?ndnlawdc wrote:FWIW, Admit Weekend will be substantially similar to last year's event, maybe even better in a few respects. Really? That sounds great. I played in HS, but I'm not particularly good anymore.crackberry wrote:I heard rumors of a golf outing at previous ASWs. The Stanford Golf Course is awesome and we'll get to play it for $25 for the next three years. I'm looking forward to that.Kretzy wrote:Really? That sounds great. I played in HS, but I'm not particularly good anymore.
Another reason for my dad to buy me new clubs. Awesome.crackberry wrote:The Stanford Golf Course is awesome and we'll get to play it for $25 for the next three years. I'm looking forward to that.Kretzy wrote:Really? That sounds great. I played in HS, but I'm not particularly good anymore.
They recently (last 6 years or so) redesigned it and there are now back-to-back par-3s on the front nine, which is a little weird, but man the back nine is so glorious.
You in DC?WhiskeyGuy wrote:The pending snowstorm is causing hysteria out here on the East Coast. I didn't. My PS talked at length about some antigay discrimination I've faced and my work with queer youth. I almost wrote a different DS about my cultural background (Cherokee/Hispanic), but decided brevity was best.quetzalcoatl wrote:Still havent heard anything yet. Kretzy and crackberry give me hope that its possible (almost identical numbers), but that hope is starting to fade. Stanford is my dream school!
Kretzy, did you right a LGBT diversity statement or just incorporate it into your PS?

Nah, still has 2009's schedule up. Thanks for the heads up on the postcard.crackberry wrote:PSA: A postcard-y note in the mail today about Admit Weekend. Not all that informative. Basically just says, "Go to the Web site to check for details."
Maybe the site has been updated with this year's schedule? Anyone check?
