Re: Seattle 2010
I wouldn't worry about it. My application was received on 1/12, and I didn't receive a 'complete' email until 2/5. In the email it said I had been complete since 1/21, I think they are just really slow to send out the complete emails.roguey wrote:Mine was received on 1/21 and I haven't received the complete email yet

Re: Seattle 2010
Submitted 1/18 and got an email telling me to wait 7-10 business days for a status checker. Well...I just got two emails at once. Status checker link and an application complete notice. I logged on and am complete and under review since 1/28.
Yesterday I promised myself that I'd take a week off of status checkers. Well thats all gone down the toilet now.

I received a "Financing your legal education 2010-2011" package yesterday; however, I've not been admitted. Thoughts?

But I have not gotten a decision yet.. did anyone else get this?
a few weeks ago I also got a similar E-Mail about fin aid. why must they torture me?

Received the financial aid information mail out today also. My status is still 'decision pending' as of 1/21. I'm guessing the mail out means nothing.

Seeing all these people get in with lower stats, I'm tempted to call admissions to see if i was waitlisted by mistake...probably not a smart move though...but tempting.

Re: Seattle 2010
When I visited Seattle U, they didn't seem that Jesuit (there wasn't jesus on the cross as in classroom in Loyola-Chicago.) I wonder if my PS could have been misconstrued as anti-religious since it was about embracing finality and finiteness (as opposed to eternal life) and hence the waitlisting of someone who has stats superior to what they usually get.DonnyMost wrote:those jesuits work in mysterious waysPlugInBaby wrote:Seeing all these people get in with lower stats, I'm tempted to call admissions to see if i was waitlisted by mistake...probably not a smart move though...but tempting.

Re: Seattle 2010
Yeah there's a good chance that happened. When I spoke to them they were all about the values of a Jesuit education, so in the very least they take their beliefs very seriously.PlugInBaby wrote:When I visited Seattle U, they didn't seem that Jesuit (there wasn't jesus on the cross as in classroom in Loyola-Chicago.) Re: Seattle 2010
I notified SU that I will not be attending their school in the fall (going to Lewis and Clark instead). Hopefully this will help of you that are on the wait list, or who's application is still pending.
Good luck!!!

Re: Seattle 2010
Any word on the sheer number of applications Seattle U is getting this year as opposed to last? My hunch feels that they are getting an unprecedented amount and waitlisting otherwise qualified applicants because they sent out too many admissions at the start. I would forecast a lot more waitlistings. Here's hoping that not enough matriculate!

Was admitted on 2/5/2010, received it 2/19/2010. In with $12,000/year scholarship.

Re: Seattle 2010
In all seriousness, should I even try to see if they have the correct GPA and LSAT score on my file or any other clerical error or would this be taken as a big insult that would all but DQ from getting in from the waitlist (they are going to have to show me the money at this point).DonnyMost wrote:those jesuits work in mysterious waysPlugInBaby wrote:Seeing all these people get in with lower stats, I'm tempted to call admissions to see if i was waitlisted by mistake...probably not a smart move though...but tempting.
Here is the current LSN graph of Seattle U to demonstrate the sheer ridiculousness of it all. In a sea of green, in my yellow submarine.

Write them a really flattering LOCI, too.
But avoid playing the "but why meeee?!" card.
Just keep knocking, that door will open.
P.S. I think you should get in for that clever analogy alone.
