George Mason 2010
Didn't see a thread since last cycle so I thought I would add one.
Has anyone heard anything? Does anyone know when to expect anything? Why did you apply?
All the standard questions.

+1. Very attracted to Fordham right now, but in-state tuition at GMU is extremely enticing at almost 1/3 the bill. I'm looking forward to decision day.
DC is alright. I live a few miles out in northern VA (actually within a mile or two of GMU's law campus... never been though). Do you have any specific questions?eberl032 wrote:Havent heard anything yet. Went complete back on October 22nd. Hope to hear soon. Any opinions on DC? Ive never been.

I also live about 2 miles from the Mason Law campus. Really like NoVa and DC. Have been here for the better part of a decade now.

File completed since 11/02, got nothing yet, just file completed in the status checker.
Emailed the Ad office a few days ago, got nothing but "we will review your file as soon as possible"

I applied in October. My file's been complete since sometime in October. George Mason is a long shot for me though.

Does that apply to both early decision and regular decision applicants?sunnygirl wrote:News update~

Re: George Mason 2010
Does anyone know if they update the status checker at all when applications are UR, or does it go to DR, or does it never change (for some reason I think I read that somewhere, but I could be making that up).
I also live about 1 mile from their law school....NoVa is okay...not sure if I want to stay here though. GM has a good rep in the area though, a lot of ppl at firms that I talked to (older) were shocked that GMU was ranked so low in USWNR.

Re: George Mason 2010
GMU has a strong IP and administrative law program that I am really interested in...
Definitely would be my top choice if I could manage the finances.

Anyone receive a postcard with a lovely picture of the Wash Monument covered in snow? Thanks GMU. For a short second, I thought they might be sending rejections via postcard. CRUEL.

What kind of postcard was it? A holiday card? A "hey-we're-just-hanging-on-to-your-app-and-not-looking-at-it" card?tfc7x wrote:Anyone receive a postcard with a lovely picture of the Wash Monument covered in snow? Thanks GMU. It was just a holiday post card... "Holiday wishes from George Mason Law.." or something like that...
