I don't know about the numbers from past years, but I do know that $5,000-8,000 is usually the most common scholarship amounts they give. Every dollar will help as far as I am concerned. I have emailed Alison again today to see if their office has finished giving out offers. For those who emailed/called, did she give you the impression they gave out all the money they had available this week already?
It seems like they have given out all money they have this week, not sure about that. But Alison said she had made difficult choices.

Thanks for all the ideas about housing! I have started to look and I definitely don't want to be in any more debt than I have to be.

Also, have those who sent in their seat deposits heard from the office since? Gotten your student ID numbers, email, etc.?

Well I hope they didn't lose my email information, I even sent my seat deposit early! If you don't mind me asking, what information was contained in your email?

email 1: New Student Identification Number for Mason Law & Email
email 2: George Mason University School of Law Seat Deposit Confirmation

I'd call them if I were you, or at the very least see if your deposit got cashed. Oh, also, I hand delivered my deposit so maybe mine was processed first or something.

Thanks! I had gotten the email confirming my deposit but not the other. I emailed them and they sent me the email about my G# and have received their emails since. Whew.

Students that are sure they are heading to George Mason in the fall seem so inactive! Anyone else sure about going there this fall? Any thoughts about the upcoming semester?? I'd love to hear from other students who will be headed there in the fall! What is everyone doing to prepare this summer?

I'm going to GMU! I am going to do the reading but still need to pick up those books. Have you started yet?

I picked up the books by Shapo and Levi. I still have to get Law and Economics in a Nutshell. I suspect that one may be the most useful. The other two may be useful but are pretty dry lol! In terms of the additional suggestions, I can't find Damages anywhere and that one seems interesting. Any idea when we will get our class schedule?

Unless you're URM, your chances aren't good. Although you could try part time and if you did well 1st year, transfer to full time. Good Luck.

Anyone hear anything official from Mason since June 14th? Sounds like they were expecting some movement at other WLs (and there has been some) but all quiet on their front so far.

1.) Epic bump
2.) Have you been paying VA income taxes? Do you have w-2s to show this?
3.) Do you have a VA driver's license?

1) Have heard some schools reserve places for in-state residents. Didn't know what that proportion was for GMU.
2.) Not yet.
3) Yes.
There's a George Mason 2011 thread. You'll probably get more responses there. Anyway, I highly recommend you check out their application for in-state tuition:

http://www.law.gmu.edu/assets/files/adm ... e_form.pdf

I don't know if you can get in-state rates without paying VA income taxes. I would call their office when they're open tomorrow.
