How did others find out? Were you emailed or snail mailed?
Sounds like your decision might have been lost in the mail? I received that email as well, and I found out through snail mail back in mid-December.

I agree. I got my acceptance not too long ago but my status checker never changed. The student government e-mail is definitely directed towards admitted students. Congrats!

Thanks for the congrats. I guess I'll have to call them and ask for a new admissions packet! Yikes.

I've been complete since 10/26 and absolutely no word other than the occasional calendar or financial aid email. I called today and the person at the other end said that they were likely going to review my application in the next week or so. Why they did not do so in the past 3 months escapes me...

These aren't mine but I was able to track down some campus photos of the the law buildings and the surrounding area. It does seem like the forest is trying to eat the law school.

God, that campus is awesome. Alright, the first few kind of make it look like a municipal building, but the last few are amazing.

Everyone whose going: take lots of pictures and ask lots of good questions. Thanks!
you cant find someone to cover w/ a 2 month notice?

I know, ridiculous, huh? I teach at a proprietary (for profit) college that doesn't hire substitutes and doesn't allow instructors to cancel class for any reason... But I managed to snag somebody to cover for me this afternoon! (After some searching, begging, groveling) Just bought my plane tickets!

Oh, and, SamSeaborn2016, those pictures are amazing. Thanks for posting them!

I just withdrew my application, so that should free up a spot and scholarship $$$. I was a little nervous to let them know I won't be attending, since I could see myself really liking it there, and they did offer a lot of $. But it didn't feel right to hold on to an offer that I know, given the circumstances, I wouldn't accept.

Good luck!

what made you withdraw (besides your altruistic motives to free up our $)

are you shooting T30 or something?

I really hope I can go to the ASD. Regardless of the fact that I have made it clear that I'm leaving this summer, my employer still finds it necessary to send me across the country in March :? Hopefully it will be on a different week...

EDIT: of course, this assumes that I will actually be admitted...*crosses fingers*

I'm a 163 with no scholly money. But I'm sure my lame GPA and locality plays a factor in that. I will be submitted a request to see if I can get a little something to help bring down my costs.

Called the admissions office to figure out what the deal was. They were very nice and Susan scanned and emailed all my admissions info to me within a few hours - including a 30k/year scholarship offer! Rad.

Agree, Sam the photos are awesome and the comment cracked me up! I am praying to the law school gods that I get in. App complete 12/28 and latest status on the website (1/8) is 'app received' or something.

I hope I hear something soon, but if there are people who applied in october and still haven't heard I'm not keeping my fingers crossed! Although I suppose they try and get all the offers out by early March, maybe they hold onto the 'maybes' for a little longer? I applied to William Mitchell at the same time (my safety) and got my acceptance and scholarship package last week, I figured maybe because I was an easy in. 90% scholarship there which would be really nice, but L&C is my first choice.

C'mon mailman bring me some loooove!

I'm a current student. If you haven't been to the law school, the photos above are an accurate representation of the school as a whole(except the tables and chairs in the one photo are different now). Of course, the weather is often gloomier than the photos make it appear.

I think it is about four+ miles from downtown, so not super close. I live about 5 miles away from the school, and I am about 10 miles from downtown. There are a couple of bus lines that stop by the school. I think one is 38. There is also a school shuttle that travels between downtown(I think) and the school.

I actually don't much like the bus system in Portland too much. I used to live in Houston, and I could always find my way around on the bus there. The bus schedule is just more limited in Portland.

Got a call from a current L&C 1L today. I was at work so I didn't get his voicemail until this evening. Pretty nice tough. :D

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
