You realize he just said every area that matters is cleaner in SF than in NYC, right?gahthelaw wrote:man, it is so much easier to let someone else take these for once.

he said that despite the dirt they are tied for best city in america. which means that our biggest problem could be solved with some pine-sol and we'd be heaven.Kronk wrote:You realize he just said every area that matters is cleaner in SF than in NYC, right?gahthelaw wrote:man, it is so much easier to let someone else take these for once.

Since you and I both know you don't think LA is #1, why do you insist on creating this ranking?Kronk wrote:You realize he just said every area that matters is cleaner in SF than in NYC, right?gahthelaw wrote:man, it is so much easier to let someone else take these for once.

Re: In at NYU!!
I've never actually been to Chicago. Maybe I'd get there and hate it. I have to admit that me + cold weather are not the best of friends (considering I've lived in Texas all my life). Maybe I should just redact my original statement.gahthelaw wrote:what's to like? it's frigid and every eatery there is a chain.Stanford4Me wrote:I personally like (the idea of) Chicago.

Because if you're not even willing to defend San Francisco with me then no one will be, and thus I might as well go with the home team.crackberry wrote:Since you and I both know you don't think LA is #1, why do you insist on creating this ranking?Kronk wrote:You realize he just said every area that matters is cleaner in SF than in NYC, right?gahthelaw wrote:man, it is so much easier to let someone else take these for once.

Oh I'll defend San Francisco, I just won't claim that it's perfect.Kronk wrote:Because if you're not even willing to defend San Francisco with me then no one will be, and thus I might as well go with the home team.

Clearly you've never been forced to unconditionally root for the Denver Nuggets or Colorado Rockies.crackberry wrote:Oh I'll defend San Francisco, I just won't claim that it's perfect.Kronk wrote:Because if you're not even willing to defend San Francisco with me then no one will be, and thus I might as well go with the home team.

Re: In at NYU!!
25,000 for the first two years, 12,500 for the third unless I do PI or <$15,000-paid job for 2L summer in which case I get $25,000 for 3L as well. WOW...!!!
But there are two problems and I probably won't take it
1. They're letting me defer for a year, probably, but not defer the scholarship ... I'd have to reapply for that next winter. And since I'd be bound into not applying anywhere else, why would they give me as much money?
2. Deposit by 4/02??? I won't have even seen HLS or Chicago by then.
Too much pressure so I don't think it's happening... alas. I really liked NYU.....

Is there any better evidence that NYU is a festering TTT than this prole move of moving the deadline up?

Yes. It's pretty horrific that they get all of their professors from Columbia UniversiTTTy.kittenmittons wrote:Is there any better evidence that NYU is a festering TTT than this prole move of moving the deadline up?

Re: In at NYU!!
tbf even i think NYU's early deadline is completely ridiculous - they can't expect people to just plunk down five hundred bucks or so without even looking at their other options.

To be perfectly fair, it's not like most of NYU's admits have other options inside the T13 besides boalt.gahthelaw wrote:tbf even i think NYU's early deadline is completely ridiculous - they can't expect people to just plunk down five hundred bucks or so without even looking at their other options.

Re: In at NYU!!
so how did you guys get these finaid offers, esp those not related to the dean's scholly? email, snail mail, checking the website?
wondering because i submitted all my fafsa + finaid stuff (i think) already and am wondering about my own offer, and the deadline for such... although perhaps its different b/c i'm a finalist for one of the academic schollys? does that mean i don't get an independent finaid offer until AFTER hearing back about the scholly? or do i get one before, just in case I don't actually get it?
i haven't gotten any ultimatums yet so i hope it isn't so
