Hopefully, this may even happen before the end of finals week. :)

That was me up until 11:00 A.M. today. I know exactly what you mean and what your state of mind might be like, although now I'm being greedy and begging the higher powers that be for a school in the midwest. *coughUIUCcough*

You shall get in somewhere though! :)

Thanks, jaskat!

By the way, you are (for now) king of the hill... Shouldn't you make your proclamation as the Champion of P. 20??? :P

Nothing from Yale today, but I'm not too disappointed because there's only 1 admit on LSN and they're definitely stronger than me in the softs department. YLS tends to admit strong softs rather than strong stats early in the cycle, and my application basically revolves around stats with decent but unremarkable softs.

Anyway, I reread my Harvard acceptance letter, which brought a smile to my face again! :D

Congrats, Robin! Any day with a no rejection is a good day!

Does that mean that you get to type up the greatness that is the LOCI now?

I would say that held over must mean that they like you enough to keep you as a candidate for awhile longer... That's a good start, if you ask me!!!

Actually, I don't know what you mean??

But thanks for explaining your reasoning regarding t6 schools; it's perfectly understandable now.

Yes, I'm a big cocktail person myself; I enjoy them more than wine or a straight-alchohol type drink. Have you heard of Bellinis? They are my favorites.

I'm joining the USS: Optimism boat. Despite the fact that some of us may not get into our top choices, we have to keep in mind that all of us will hopefully end up at a great school that we enjoy being at, and that we'll go on to pursue successful careers.

Its easy to forget that this is a self-selecting board which consists of very ambitious individuals with high aspirations. I'm convinced that if someone has a strong desire to succeed, they inevitably will, even if their cycle turns out to be less than what they hoped for.

Yeah, actually when I go to those countries that say 18 is ok, I get pina coladas. Heck, I like those with or without alcohol!

Is it appropriate to send an LOCI when I haven't been waitlisted, just held? I better start drafting it up!!

MrsTrucker: I agree! D has gotten into several schools, and a few of them are big on our list, so the rest is just gravy now!
