No snail mail received yet but I'm gaining more hope! This would be my first response of the cycle and a fantastic boost to my confidence if the envelope is enormous!!!

sorry- didnt see you just posted this

Just to let you know Z, the letter (that I got) was a small one but it says Congrats! on the outside to prevent the heart attack...

I thought it was a nice touch :)

Rejected!

Oh well, i guess the lack of e-mails about student groups and such was a very good hint before the letter actually arrived.

For those curious 158/3.35/non-URM/In-State. Best of luck to everyone else!

My status changed to "in review" yesterday, or maybe late Sunday night, and now it still says the same thing, only it lists the current date as 3/10/2010. But today, it's only 3/9/2010.

Can this possibly mean anything?

Nah, it just means you are in review. The same thing happened to me, and I had to wait 3 more weeks for a decision. (That decision ended up being Waitlisted). Nothing to worry about. Good luck.

I have a few messages from some of you, but have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to get to them yet!

However, I have spring break next week and would be happy to answer any questions any of you have about U. Maryland law. Just send me a PM, and I'll get back to you next week!

Congrats to those accepted!

I got waitlisted. 162, 3.06, instate, and a LOR from a Professor at maryland law school. Anyone else look at the waitlist form and see the section on applying as a transfer in 2011? I'm confused on what to put because A) I have no idea if I want to transfer next year B) How it will effect my waitlist status for this year. Any advice? (this is my first choice school by the way)

I emailed the admissions office about this, but they have yet to get back to me. I'll let you know how they answer.

Bah! Still no letter 11 days after it was mailed (March 4)! This is getting me seriously nervous that the emails were a mistake. Snail mail is an antiquity... just load up a PDF and give me the official news already!

To me, the Admissions Office was very considerate. They knew it would take more than half a month for the package to get to me(Int'l student) So they sent me the pdf version of the letter with the email, but it seems that they never did that to other students.........

Did anyone else just get a fee waiver email? What would they be looking for new applicants now? Seems crazy late to me.

I thought that was weird too. It says to submit app by 04/01. Must be trying to shore up some numbers.

That's what I was thinking. UMD would be a reach for me, so I don't know if it'd be worth it, but I like the idea of having the option to attend school in the area.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
