Who else is loving the Christmas cards signed by the admissions staff? Nice to get something in the mail from a law school that is human and doesn't feature Greek Order columns.

Hand-written note along with a scholarship offer today. Nice! I'm going to visiting UC on the 21st, so if anyone has any questions for me to ask, let me know!

So is anyone seriously considering UC? With in-state tuition and the scholarship, this will definitely be my most affordable choice. And for a few other reasons (distance from disabled mother, social work joint program, wanting to stay in Ohio, etc) there is a good chance I'll be a Bearcat next year. Oh and I'm doing the tour as well, but on the 23rd if anyone wants info.

A stupid question, but do you live in Dayton? I'm from a suburb.

Not currently in Dayton. Sadly I moved in July to the tundra that is Minneapolis for VISTA. Which suburb you from?MBZags wrote:A stupid question, but do you live in Dayton? I'm from a suburb.

Additional pluses of Cinty: small class size (about 80-100 for the whole entering class), so it really has a private/intimate feel. You get instate tution from day one even from out of state if you live just across in KY (I found a cool/cheap place in a nice complex no problem) And my fav, you can be on Human Rights Quarterly staff (a journal) as a 1L, and if you do, you are basically guaranteed paid (as in costs paid) international externship placement your 1L summer.Dayton wrote:So is anyone seriously considering UC? I wish regionalism wasn't such a big deal, this would be about my first choice.

Re: University of Cincinnati! Woot.
Cincinnati just e-mailed me and increased my scholarship offer from $8500/year to $13,000/year based on my new LSAT score. I'm glad I didn't even have to say anything to them about it. It certainly gives me something to think about, especially with in-state tuition.

is anyone going to go visit?
I know that their visit day got pushed back this year to after the commit deadline in April. So is anyone going to see the LS before then?
