I'm still holding out for a miracle. I've been on the waitlist since Jan 21, 2010. I can wait all they want as long as they let me in!

They released lots of people from the WL so if you guys are still on ther its because AU thought you were good enough not to get released. At this point everyone has a shot.

I wonder how many 'lots' is. I'm still on the waitlist but I have to say I have no idea why.. Though I'm glad I am of course. Just not expecting much.

I think I have finally realized what others knew all along: AU (and other law schools) aren't looking for the best students, in terms of work ethic and intelligence. There is some magical, mystical "something" they are attracted to. I wish I had it!

I dont agree with this. Based off of the people here that have been WL-Accepted AU's been all about numbers. Most of the WL-Accepted people here have had over 160 LSAT scores. Probably a result of their drop in "ranking".Thank you so much USNWR you piece of sh*t magazine!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I hope I get to congratulate the rest of you soon!!!

jjnva--I did get the same email and call with the 24 hour deadline. Every post on here is true about the fact that they call like 2 minutes after you respond their initial email that you are still interested.

gdane--thanks so much for the kind words. Don't worry, I deposited the SECOND she sent me the email. You remain kind and supportive and I hope to see you at American a year from now. I will root for your FOREVER!

I've heard from no one. They are surely full, if not overbooked. Getting to the point where few people will be making changes I would say.

My guess is that AU is done accepting people. They released a chunk of people, accepted from the few that were left behind and are now just keeping a small list of people just in case some crazy stuff happens. At this point in time Id say very few, if any, people are going to be accepted off the WL. If you do get a call it'll probably be one of those calls that come a week or two before the semester starts. In any case there are a lot of cool people waiting and I really hope that something positive can happen for everyone.

Any chance that if you were wl'd you'd have a better chance of transferring in?

You should ask the school, but I would think they wouldnt. For the most part transferring is dependant on grades.

I'm on the Wait List for WCL and got a fairly standard response that my status is unchanged. So, at least I haven't been dropped. The reply also said.

"The Committee on Admissions has done some selective waiting list work; there is not a timeline for when they will do more or how many people will be accepted from the waiting list."

I wonder how many people they still have on the waitlist. 20, 50, 100?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
