riding a couple waitlists this summer and likely depositing at CLS. since columbia starts in mid-august and my two other options start later, curious when i accepting a waitlist offer elsewhere would start costing me more than my seat deposit.

i'd rather not ask CLS, especially since they still haven't given me my financial aid info. anyone know these details? THANKS!

2 minutes on the Columbia website says that students are expected to pay tuition/fees/etc by mid-september. I'm guessing if a school hasnt given you a spot by mid-september, youre not getting in. Housing is a different story, but im sure you can call the housing office for that. Doubt they really converse with the office of financial aid much.

Awesome! Congrats on making the decision. The minute after you push that send button, on the deposit, is a great one! Such a relief to have plans nailed down and then realize that you will be attending, hands down, one of the premier law schools in the world.

yea, rejection from harvard was treated (kinda) by depositing next minute at cls. it felt good.

How are we supposed to handle the first housing payment if our loans haven't been disbursed by that time? I don't have enough personal funds or parental support to pay before my loans arrive.

If you're planning to live in Columbia housing, maybe call the housing office and ask if they can take your first payment out of your loans before they are disbursed?

I still don't exist in the CLS directory, but I only submitted my deposit a few days ago.

I activated my email account and forwarded the emails to my gmail. Mainly because I got an email from admissions saying important emails would be sent to that account.

I think a lot of people have activated their e-mails at this point. no need to be scared
