Were most of you that were admitted or waitlisted notified by email? My status checker says my decision was made a few days ago and the letter was sent. I didn't receive anything by email, and my numbers poor so I'm expecting a ding.

I believe I was first notified by email. The subject said "Your acceptance to Tulane University" or something along those lines.

How long after the status check change was the email sent? I assume it was a few hours later. My status was changed on the 22nd.

I'm not sure...I applied in October and was accepted in December so I don't remember exactly. Sorry!

My status checker said "Decision Made" and "Congratulations" on top on a Thursday evening. I got the email the next day.

Okay. Being complete from 3/5 isn't enough time to expect a decision.

Got an email with the subject "Your Acceptance to Tulane Law School." I applied mid-January, went complete again on 3/5.... 164, 3.6.

David D. Meyer is coming to Tulane from the U of Illinois.

Professor Meyer is one of the most exceptional professors I have ever had. He will be a great addition to Tulane... sad to see him leave UIUC!

Yeah, I heard Tulane poached a good one. He was on other schools' wish lists too, from what a UIUC student tells me.

My status checker has said File Complete since 2/10... Does it usually change to In Review or anything before a decision is made? Still holding out some hope.

To Gymnast, if it isn't a problem would you mind PMing your numbers so I can have an idea if I will be WLed, Outright rejected or have a chance at admission.

depends on the yield and number spots that open up, if any, after the deadlines. last year they didn't accept anyone from the WL cause they were over-enrolled.

I'm not - not sure it would be wise. But I think I'll be attending. I hope they jump up in rankings. Does anyone think they will??

I think it's possible. Tulane had a mediocre class the year after Katrina but numbers have risen since then, and there is a plan to decrease the class size. However, people have mentioned on here that placement for the graduating class has been horrendous; I can't verify the accuracy of that, but I have heard it quite a few times.

It's hard to justify that much debt when you hear about the problems graduates are facing finding jobs out of law school. I'd like to think I'm special and would work hard and be at the top of the class etc... but everyone thinks they are.

I received the same schoalrship and have the same mindset about attending... its a lot of debt
