no. I have the same and asked for more and they flat out told me it is based solely on LSAT/GPA and that what you are offered is the max they can offer.
Oh well. Thanks.

I attended a nice breakfast event in Boston this morning for alums and admitted studens. The general message seemed to be that Tulane is moving from a period of recovery from Katrina into a period of development and increased focus on national reputation, which will be highlighted by the pending announcement of a new Dean.

IMO, you can definitely see this when comparing the graphs from this year to last on LSN. Theres a good bit of red mixed into what would normally be auto-admit.

167/3.35
164/3.5
162/3.3
161/3.72

...to name a few...all of which would have been AT WORST a WL last year.

....doesn't look too good for us splitters (165/2.9 here)...maybe they are hanging on to me because i'm from NOLA. :?:

99% thats where I'll be attending. While I did receive a scholarship, other factors I looked at were the general low cost of living, warmer climate, quality of life, transportability of the degree (to what degree is debateable). Also I've worked on wall street and the Tulane Corporate Law Institute is something that intrigues me and I'd like to attend it. Also New Orleans is awesome.

Yeah but there are also people that are on the opposite side...

Honestly, I'm really confused about Tulane. I've been complete since 1/19 and have already gotten into several schools ranked higher. This is one of the shortest threads of all the ones I've been watching and very few people have gotten a response one way or another. Maybe some of the stranger rejections have been due to something on the application - terrible personal statement, unflattering recommendations, criminal problems, etc. I'm sorry but there's no way Tulane is able to reject a 167/3.4 unless there was some underlying issue. The 75th percentile for last year's class is a 163 and a 3.4 is by no means a bad GPA....

Maybe they forgot to write the required why Tulane addendum because they thought their numbers were good enough to get in without it?

I've been obsessively looking at LSN this week to see if statuses have changed. Not sure what I hope to find because I look at the graph/applicant list WAY too much. lol

I am definitely hoping that some emails are sent out this evening/tomorrow. My numbers are sitting right along the lines where people are both admitted/rejected. Hopefully my softs tip me over the edge for a green dot 8)

Tulane is my absolute first choice of everywhere I applied. I can't fully picture myself at any other school because I have Tulane Tunnel Vision... am trying not to get my hopes up though :?

I'm very concerned about affording Tulane, but first thing is first - gotta get in!

congrats to those admitted. I also went complete for the second time on 3/5 but no admittance today. I hope this isn't a bad sign.

99% sure I am attending...

I am justifying the cost because of my background in Environmental science/policy. The schools in my state are much more regional, Tulane has a national reach and a lot in the way of research (wetlands, environmental discrimination, etc.) Plus, I miss living in a vibrant city. My two other "top" choices are located in a small and smaller town. It might just drive me crazy. I don't plan on living close to Tulane as the housing prices around campus are a bit ridiculous. I have a car (and bike) and will commute. They are giving me a scholarship, so that is a plus. I plan on apply for other scholarship to minimize my debt, too.
