I went blank Thursday. I figure my letter will come Friday/Saturday, and that by then there won't be any flights from my neck of the woods to attend ASD next month. Re: U Washington
I got a bad feeling here. From this post, I saw many blank status checkers without mailing info, which may stand for a huge batch of decisions. The Adminission Committee may be busy with sending out decisions and cannot be sure about when our batch will be sent out. So we got blank status checker without mailing info. I assume large sum of decisions at the same time may not be good news. Additionally, since both my LSAT and GPA are at the median level, I may count on a waitlist at best here.uwb09 wrote:negatory, i'll be sure to post as soon as I receive the letterlifeaway1985 wrote:Have those whose status checker went blank last Friday heard anything?

It's gotta be this week... I mean, are they really going to wait until April 1 to blank us out? Actually, ya, they probably are.aPosseAdEsse wrote:Still in review 03/05!

Re: U Washington
I'm living 12.5 miles from the law school (data acquired through Google map...). Status checker went black last Friday, and still haven't heard anything yet.
But, if UWLS sends rejection letters in batches, I gotta say the last Friday one is highly probably a rejection batch, in light of my LSAT score.

Maybe not. Maybe they will just be like WUSTL, which sent those who still haven't received a decision an email, saying that they couldn't make the March 15th deadline.Neelio wrote:It's gotta be this week... My girlfriend applied to another school at UW and got her response (accepted!) more than a month after their self-imposed deadline, so anything's possible. Still IR here.

Re: U Washington
What is irritating for me about the wait is that I have a limited amount of money which will go toward the U-Dub tuition deposit or LSAT prep materials for the June test. As it is I am only giving myself two months to prepare myself for the LSAT. I would love to get some sense of direction to go one way or the other. I am glad that I am still alive though and hoping for a miracle.

I hear that. I would start studying for the LSAT again, but it's really hard to do when you're not sure if you even have to. Much easier just to take a nap or turn on the tv.PlugInBaby wrote:What is irritating for me about the wait is that I have a limited amount of money which will go toward the U-Dub tuition deposit or LSAT prep materials for the June test. + I would rather spend that time reading materials that could actually help me learn law, e.g. Delaney's Learning Legal Reasoning. As it is I have started that book, but it's depressing to read while not knowing where I'll be studying in the Fall.HerseyChris wrote:I hear that. Re: U Washington
It's a good idea if I was sold on the idea of attending one of the law schools I got accepted to, but if U-Dub dings me I plan on taking a mulligan this time around. I now have a better idea of what I want in a law school and how to better myself as an applicant. Thus my desire to retake the LSAT.aPosseAdEsse wrote:+ I would rather spend that time reading materials that could actually help me learn law, e.g. Delaney's Learning Legal Reasoning. I am right there with you. I just withdrew from my safeties. I started out thinking I would be happy anywhere, but now that they want my money.....I would rather take the lsat again.PlugInBaby wrote:It's a good idea if I was sold on the idea of attending one of the law schools I got accepted to, but if U-Dub dings me I plan on taking a mulligan this time around. Re: U Washington
I went blank on Friday. Since I live in out of the country at the moment, they had the good grace to email me a copy of my rejection letter today. That is of course not to say that the entire batch will be rejections, but I expect that the Friday decisions were mailed today. I hope there is good news for some of you. I'm glad 3 months of wondering is over and I'm left with an easy choice.lifeaway1985 wrote:We count on you guys for the latest update!KIM_SAYS: wrote:Same...and I live 3-5 miles from campus. Re: U Washington
My unsolicited advice, don't limit yourself to two months to prepare for retaking the LSAT. If UW doesn't work out, and you plan on reapplying for fall 2011, then take all the time necessary to score better (December LSAT). The added pressure won't help. Just think positive, at least 1500 rejection letters have gone out since January, if not more, and as of today, we're still in contention.PlugInBaby wrote:What is irritating for me about the wait is that I have a limited amount of money which will go toward the U-Dub tuition deposit or LSAT prep materials for the June test. Re: U Washington
Good advice, but take the September test not the December test, because applying before Thanksgiving does seem to be an advantage most places.ProfitsProphets wrote:My unsolicited advice, don't limit yourself to two months to prepare for retaking the LSAT. Re: U Washington
I'm not super stressed about the LSAT itself, just more annoyed about not knowing how to spend my money. Since I am between school and between jobs, I'd have plenty of time to dedicate to studying anyway. My study approach was too lax last time and I think something more intensive can be very beneficial. In addition I want to send in those applications early, hence why a June LSAT would put me in better position to do just that. In addition if June doesn't go according to plan, I can try once again in September.ProfitsProphets wrote:My unsolicited advice, don't limit yourself to two months to prepare for retaking the LSAT. UW told me they send all decisions via snail mail...
