Top three def. I love the campus and I am in undergrad in greensboro(about 30 mins away if you are unfamiliar with the area), so I would kind of like to stick around. I am def hoping for some $$ as well. From looking at LSN from last year I am hoping to get a pretty generous offer.

On a side note-- I vote someone calls and asks if they are sending out scholly info along with decisions friday. I would call, but already did so to find out when they were sending out the first decisions, and I don't want to sound like a obsessive psycho (although at this point I am close). Any volunteers?

I thought we had confirmed with relative certainty that scholarship offers would in fact be coming out with decisions? No?

Someone said that the admission people at Wake said they were trying to do so this year, but I dunno if this was certain. It would be nice to know what to expect to find when I begin staking out my mailbox on Monday (that is if I go decision rendered friday).

Last year they called me with a decision prior to my status checker going to decision.

Yeah thats me. I posted that because I called today and I was informed that a decision had already been made. I was also informed that I would know my decision by Friday. Good luck everyone.

Edit: My status checker still says Administrative Review 11/25.

Wait they said you would know your decision by friday? As in you would be informed by status checker or phone call? I need to know which of these three things I should be watching obsessively...

haha, I was told they send by Email first, so we wouldn't have to wait for snail mail.

Yeah I believe its e-mail or phone call. She wouldn't tell me how I would find out or what the decision was.

I really hope it is a phone call. I am going out of town and might not have e-mail after Saturday. If the e-mail comes out Friday or Saturday, then that's fine. I really hope to get some money too. I am seriously leaning towards Wake over UNC, and some money would level the playing field as far as cost (being in state at UNC). While I haven't seen the school in person, there are so many things that Wake has that I really like, not to mention a great admissions staff (especially compared to UNC).

We all wont know about money until later. Scholarship money, if awarded to you, will come at a later date after your acceptance.

on a related note: why does the WFU TLS profile say that tuition is a "steal," was there a recent increase in cost or what ??

I think it was around 30k a couple of years ago. A majority of students do not pay sticker though, I believe Wake has one of the highest percentages of half to full tuition scholarships.

When I applied to undergrad., I hoped for the big envelope and feared the small one. Now, with the status checker, despite being a smart person, I am overthinking and overreacting to every small change in the status checker. Application complete is not decision rendered, is not accepted....

I could torture myself for days waiting to see how this small change in the upper right corner of the screen could affect my life.
