I'm definitely going to the first one (I think), because it's been a while since I lived in Boston and I want to go when it's cold, just to remind me. I actually debated taking a trip up next week to try and see the place during exams, but it didn't work out.Cooley70121 wrote:Is anyone here already planning on attending the ASW? Yea the weather should be quite a shock. I have never been anywhere colder than maybe... -10? I don't know how cold Boston gets but I presume a fair bit colder than that. That being said, I think I will be attending the March ASW.mhopeful wrote:Lol i think the colder time is actually better because for us west coast ppl, it gives us a better sense of the reality we will be facing---the weather is my greatest worry about harvard for sure

if you can stand -10, you'll be fine. the hardest thing about northeastern weather is not how cold it is but how long it stays cold. it feels like forever.

You're right, but I think that I could brace myself for three years if necessary, knowing that I would return to CA afterwards. I'm originally from the Mid-Atlantic, so snow and ice are not completely unfamiliar to me (although much loathed).somewhatwayward wrote:if you can stand -10, you'll be fine. the hardest thing about northeastern weather is not how cold it is but how long it stays cold. it feels like forever.

Yeah, I got the note too. I’ve actually been quite surprised, given Harvard’s image/stereotype, at how personal the whole process has been so far.nixxers wrote:Haha. Re: In at Harvard!
Harvard is slowly infiltrating my mind We have access to a large portion of the current students site and as a result I've downloaded the OCI data for the last three years plus the OCS files for advice and self-assessment. Between all this available info and the email address, by Spring I may decide that I'm already more comfortable going to Harvard than some other school (maybe even Yale?).
And yes, it is crazy for me to think that my "Harvard experience" has been much more personal than my experience so far with my other offer, Duke. Nothing against Duke, but all I have from them is the same brochures I already had plus a generic admitted student website and password.

Thanks!soullesswonder wrote:Harvard is slowly infiltrating my mind We have access to a large portion of the current students site and as a result I've downloaded the OCI data for the last three years plus the OCS files for advice and self-assessment. If that link doesn't work for some reason, go to Current Students....Office of Career Services....JD students....Researching Employers
Just use your ID and password you received with the official offer.

Bleeeeeeeggggghhhhh..... I have 3 long papers and 2 finals looming above me in the next 10 days, but I can't seem to do anything remotely productive. Anyone else suffering from the "I-already-got-into-Harvards"?
