I really hope I get rejected, an acceptance would complicate things.

Yeah? The easiest way to ensure that things won't get complicated for you is to withdraw ASAP :) .

I don't believe you, anyways. Davis is great, but you can never have too many good options.

Blah, nothing in the mail today  No idea when they're sending out rejections...and no idea when they'll be sending out more waitlists (if any...I'm seriously hoping that mini-wave wasn't their last). Any speculations as to if there'll be more waitlists?

I HIGHLY doubt you'll be rejected outright. If anything, given how much you want Irvine, you'll probably get a handwritten WL from Dean Ortiz with a promise to take you if she can.

Saw the Verano and PV apartments - law students are guaranteed on-campus grad housing at below market - you do the 2 bed, they pair you up with a roomy, and you each pay about $550/mnth, about 3 minute walk to the law school. Also checked out apts across the street today - loved Berekely Ct., pool, hot tub, bunch of great apts, reasonable, literally right across the street from the law school and a shopping center. For me lots of law schools had the drawback of just leaving you in the middle of some city to fend for yourself. The housing sit. at UCI is a big plus for me... (plus the on-campus workout center open til 1AM)[/strike]

So what's up with the "putting a line through that entire post" thing?

The gym you're referring to, the ARC (anteater recreation center), is one of Kobe Bryant's training spots. It's very awesome.

It could use a few more tennis courts. That's pretty much my only quibble.

Yep, got it today. Barring some miracle on the June LSAT that gets me off UCLA's WL, I'll be reapplying. Good luck to everyone!

I am so sorry msch0i :-(. I was pulling for you. Are you going to try again next cycle? If so I hope you are the 1st admit to the class of 2014. Good luck if you retake the LSAT.

Heh you posted this just as I was asking. Hope you do well on the LSAT. If you do well enough, you may want to reapply next cycle anyway and go for some $$ wherever you end up going.

I think you wanted to go to UCI more than alot of people here im sorry you didnt get in... Your GPA looks great, with your gpa im sure you can get a much better LSAT score. Dont waste that GPA, retake the LSAT and I promise you your next cycle will be so much better!

Dear msch0i,

I'm sorry to hear that this cycle did not work out the way you hoped. Good luck on your LSAT, and best of luck next year. Do feel free to keep in touch with us (i.e. me, as I can't necessarily speak for everyone else) on facebook - as one who holds your lurking skills in high regard, I'm sure you've already identified at least a few of us.

I think you have the right spirit and mental attitude for UCI, and I don't think you should take a rejection this year as anything to impugn your character. I hope you continue to resist the siren call of soul searching, because I think it would be a waste of time for you. The blend of stuff just wasn't right on paper, I guess, and so I whole-heartedly endorse your intent to make your resume even more impressive.

The next round begins in less than six months. There is ass to be kicked and there are names to be taken! Waste not a day and I'll see you in August of 2011.

Sincerely,
The Lobstar

Previous posters have indicated they received notice of waitlisted applications via snail mail.

I'm gutted for you msch0i.

If I could give you my spot, I would.

Kill the LSAT.
