That prime UG must be good for something, though. I know some schools (though I don't think Mich is one of them) give a GPA boost to certain institutions in their index formulas.

That's good to know! But even with that taken into consideration, Mich still a long-shot (or any T14 for that matter).

ETA for the table: 167 (highest)/3.15 (HYP)

I don't want to be the debby downer of the group, but if we don't get a call tomorrow does that mean we are deferred to RD? Or do you think our status checkers will be updated tonite? Tonites gon suckkkkk

I don't think UM really does calls. You'll just be able to log into the admitted students site or will not. I don't know how people being deferred to RD works as far as status checker goes, though (IE, whether it will say "deferred to RD" immediately tomorrow, or what).

I believe that no one gets rejected from ED, but rather your status checker will change to:

Early decision - No Decision - that essentially means you are deferred to the RD pool.

Yeah, I know the status checker changes to 'no decision' or whatever; I'm just unsure of whether or not it will change immediately tomorrow. I know I didn't go from 'complete' to 'decision' until four or five days after I got my acceptance packet.

Dean Z said the status updates sometime in the morning, so I wouldn't plan on pulling an "all-nighter".

I believe the status change should read either one of the following:

Decision=Admit (or deny, if you tried to access the admitted students site so often it made them afraid of you.....
) :o

I'm kidding. sort of.... :)

or

No Decision=Held Over

I might wake up at 6AM just to check the status checker, and then either go back to bed or go out to breakfast before work.

I know, I was playing along! Internet communication fail.

I was actually attempting to stay away for the evening, but then I remembered that I have NOTHING better to do.

Also, wtf is my ND decision?

yea, I did the why essay.

This is my second cycle with ND. I was WLed last year, so I'm hoping the change in my application is enough to take me over the edge this year (of course all of this is moot if Mich comes through)

Yeah same boat here. After tomorrow I will know where I will be going to law school one way or another. Hope you get in. They like high GPA's and your LSat is only one point off the median. You should be fine.

yeah health requirement. And our brand new shiny gym is not complete yet, so all health requirements are classroom based for the next year.

oh that would be sweet to fulfill it with weight training or something. It kind of reminds me of PE, strange requirement.

Where is everyone else who needs to be not thinking about tomorrow while really thinking about it too much?
