Seeing as this thread was somewhat quiet for awhile and now it's picked up because people are got the 4/20 decision mailed (as did I), is that ominous? I live in DC and didn't get it in the mail today. I am seriously hoping I follow suit as the previous posters with no email but acceptance, fingers crossed!
From what I have heard, it seems to be a crapshoot. Keeping my fingers crossed. This is my first choice.....
I have seen that they also send out acceptances in batches as well. I am hoping to be at the least waitlisted but I am starting to believe that with it being this late in the process they can only be rejections however, I am keeping my fingers crossed as well.

Another question I have for those that didn't receive an email though they were accepted, did the deposits or any other information on your status checker change or did it just simply say decision mailed?

I really want to know what are my chances considering it's late in the process and I did not receive an acceptance email. Also do the acceptance letters come in a big or small envelope?
I got the exact same thing and my timeline mirrors yours almost exactly. Not to be a downer, but I don't think it bodes well for us. I say this because the three schools I have been denied from have done a similar thing (saying decision is in the mail). All of the schools I was accepted to either posted it on status checker right away or I received an email before status checker was updated.

I hope I'm wrong...Good luck to you!
FWIW, my status changed to decision rendered and I didn't receive any emails. I received my (large) acceptance envelope in the mail four days later. Good luck guys.

For those that didn't receive an email but were accepted, do you mind sharing your numbers

Sure, 160, 3.55 got $$ which was unexpected. (full-time)

Just said "decision mailed". Thought I was dinged when I didn't receive an email within 24 hrs. after reading earlier posts, but looks like emails only went out to those who were complete before Dec. 1.

Congrats. Were you by chance on the WL, or is this your first decision?

I got an email today and I went complete after Dec. 1st.

In with $$ which was a nice surprise. Waiting on 3 more decisions. It's going to be hard to pick.

I just received a wait list letter. I will be making a strong second attempt to pull myself off the wait list.

I took a look at the campus this weekend while I was in town on a business trip. The law school looks really nice but the surrounding neighborhood seems really really rough. Although I like the emphasis the school puts on social justice I think I will be withdrawing.

Unless you LIVE in Brookland (the neighborhood), the metro entrance is basically right across the street from the law building.. and the neighborhood isnt THAT bad. There are certainly much much worse neighhorhoods in D.C. and Im not sure i would definitely classify it as the 'hood' either.

Agreed. It's no Dupont Circle, but it's certainly not Barry Farm. I just googlemapped it (it's been a while since I visited) and nothing really struck me as bad in the 500 feet between the metro and the school.

Agreed, plus between the law school and the metro is one of the security booths. They also provide security escorts if you feel uncomfortable to walk with you to the metro.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
