Complete 2/4
DR 5/7

So does this mean it's in the mail? I live at most 20 minutes away (1hr with LA traffic lol). I'm thinking I'll get it by tomorrow or Monday, if they have mailed it today. I'm probably the closest person to this school so i'll post the decision as soon as it comes in. I know if ya ask Pepperdine will actually fax you the decision, does anyone know if Loyola has this option?

well I guess all my (our) complaining paid off....

DR today as well. Hope this late in the game there's still a chance at an acceptance (money too and I would be sold).

C'mon Loyola....show me some love

The language in the packet I received makes it sound like money is more or less gone for this year, regardless of academic merit. Which is also what I was given to understand when I talked to the admissions office while checking on my LORs. But maybe they were just being polite in their letter, and it wasn't meant to be taken generally (i.e. my merit.)

They will not fax it, mail only (according to the admissions site.) Mine was postmarked the same date as the DR, and the packet arrived the next day.

Really shocked with the numbers you put up. I wonder if they are at/close to max capacity...

Decision made Friday 5/7...haven't received it in the mail yet.

I'm starting to think my mailman is in on the conspiracy with Loyola to delay my decision as long as possible. Still holding out hope. Once again for those who were wondering...3.6/163 Complete mid January.

I had my DR on 4/26 and it took until 5/1 to get to the SFV! Waitlist for me.

Another day, no sighting. Maybe we have the same mailman...

I'm six hours north, but that might account for the delay...a lot of mail between here and the SFV.

With my Davis rejection today, my cycle is finally over...I just wish I knew what happened with Loyola. Like I have said before in this thread, it was my top choice and I hoped I would hear back from them first (or at least early). Still holding out hope tho...

You might be right about our mailman, however, here's hoping the next day or so brings good news and the wait will have been worth it (given this is your first choice). Sorry for the rejection from Davis, but at least all the cycle anxiety will soon be over with some good options for you.

i'm in madison wisconsin and had dr 5/7 as well, still have not received it. its a major let down running to the mailbox convinced today is the day and yet still nothing. my roommate here in madison got his decision from lls a few weeks ago a mere few days after he went dr. my only hope is that the delay means its a larger envelope, i can dream right?

my roommate was dinged with a 3.0/161, i have a 3.3/161, at least hoping for a waitlist.

They evidently don't send them out the day they render decisions. Same happened with Pepperdine. DR on 4/27 and took until 5/1 and I live about 2 miles from Pepperdine's campus! Hoping good news is on the way for you both.

Just checked again (was throwing out the envelope) and mine was certainly postmarked the same date as my DR. If it's anything like LMU, the admin offices may not run like German trains, so I'd caution against reading anything into that out of an expectation of uniformity.

Finally received my decision in the mail today. My cycle is finally over....sorta.

Waitlisted. 3.6/163

Earlier on in the cycle I was expecting to get in and receive money with my stats, but I guess as the time passed my chances dwindled. Still surprised I didn't get accepted though. Oh well at least its not a rejection. I still love you Loyola but I doubt I'll be there next year.

Thanks for the well wishes everybody

Well, here we go. Decision rendered 5/13. LOOOOOOOOOOWWWW numbers for them, but also applied PT. We'll see soon enough I guess.

FWIW... What a SHOCK when I signed into the status checker. After over three and a half months of staring at the exact same page, to having all of that stuff disappear and a couple of paragraphs of new text appear, was pretty damned scary. I thought I broke it.

Still checkin this thread every day... I like getting a sense of who my future classmates will be. Anyways, good luck to those of you who are still IR or WL.

Is it just me, or does it seem like they overfilled their spots early... I would have thought waitlisting a 3.6/163 was unheard of at LLS early in the cycle.

I have been given to understand that they did front-load the class a bit, not anticipating the volume of deadline applications (likely related to people out of UG for a year or two rushing the gates after a disappointing Fall/Winter season of job-hunting, as speculated in other threads.) On top of that, more people are accepting invitations to attend than typically do (trickle down from an equal amplification of app volume at the top schools, one assumes.) What isn't being said, but stands to reason, is that this also doesn't bode well for the waitlist if the class is already over-enrolled.

I'm pulling for you guys! I want a couple other people clinging to the landing gear w/me during takeoff, heh.
