I was really hoping to have an acceptance to ease my mind by Christmas... adcomms must be going on holiday break, soon, though. What do you think? Still worth holding out some hope for next week?!
I don't think adcomms take a winter break. Pretty sure they don't.

I hope you're right! Well, unless going on a vacation will help them come back feeling a little more generous... so maybe they'll send me that admit after all... I feel like most university offices are pretty dead over the holidays, though.

Which is a good thing, cause a lot of them have professors review the apps "or say they do" and professors not teaching classes would have a lot of free time to review our applications. At least the way I see it. Don't burst my bubble anyone if this isn't true.

All of my apps went complete in mid-November. No decisions yet. I'm on the boat too.

I'm hopping on board. Applied early December. Splitter at every school I applied to. Several schools told me they won't even look at my application until after the Feb. LSAT. I'm going to be here until March/April.

Look at all these people jumping ship!

So far I've managed one response from a law school, and a deferral isn't really any sort of decision at all.

Looks like I'm in for the long haul.

Columbia.

Honestly, I was expecting a straight up rejection. The rest of that line of thought probably belongs in the pessimism thread though.

Thankfully my mind has engaged this protective mechanism of selective memory. I keep forgetting that I even applied. The only time I remember is when I come on here, and then I go into an hour-long lawschoolnumbers/TLS psychosis. But at least it's only twice a day. It could be worse.

Big surprise in my mailbox today from Lewis & Clark... the status checker still says Complete. Guess you never know!

Guess that means I'm off this boat, but best of luck to you all - hopefully plenty of good news still to come in the next few months for all of us.

Still aboard. I was really hoping for a decision by Friday. Now, it's Christmas week, and I don't know what the holiday schedule is at any of my schools. I'm not sure if I should even expect to hear anything tomorow through Wednesday. And I know it's customary for lots of people to take off from Christmas to New Years. Should I now not expect to hear anything until 2010? Oh despair!
