I got a studio in South Campus Gateway. They still have 1 or 2 units left as of yesterday. There are still plenty of 2 bed room apts though.

Looks nice. Is that walkable to the law school campus?

It's a grueling walk across High Street. Not for the faint of heart. :D

Hey, you folks who got loan info today, did you have to submit verification paperwork to financial aid? (The income and asset forms)

You are the unlucky one :)

Continuing students who met the March 1 FAFSA filing deadline and who are not taking summer classes can expect to receive an emailed Award Notification by April 30. Continuing students who complete the FAFSA by March 1 and who apply for summer financial aid by April 1 can expect to receive the email award notification by April 20 (these dates are esitmated based on processing considerations).

Note: Students selected for Verification by the Office of Student Finanical Aid should promptly provide supporting documentation. The Verification process typically extends the financial-aid awarding process by 2 to 4 weeks.

Oh the bastards...

At least I know why now. I was supremely annoyed that I was going to have to wait all weekend before calling OSU's SFA. Thanks, B.

Actually really good, they are renovating it before I move in too. New cabinets, paint, carpet and floor and bathroom.

People who are waiting for info about need based grants:

I just realized that OSU requires that you submit a Need-Based Grant Application in addition to the FAFSA, and that this had to be turned in by March 1. I had no idea about this until about 5 minutes ago and assumed that putting OSU on my FAFSA was sufficient. Does anyone know if they will still accept these, or am I out of luck?

For those of you not familiar w/ Cbus, I can provide some insight on where to live. There are obviously many options depending on what you are looking for. If you absolutely need to be within a 10 min. walk, I would try to get a spot in the South Campus Gateway. Outside of that, almost every option within walking distance will be typical undergrad college party houses. During the fall of the year (when you are obviously gonna bust ur ass studying), it will be difficult to study in this area because it is always rowdy around campus during football season.

If you are not averse to a 5 minute commute, I would highly recommend checking out the many options in the Grandview/ Upper Arlington Area. It is a very nice, quite upscale area with many young working professionals. Having lived in the area for a year, I cannot say one bad thing about it.

Some places to check out if interested (feel free to PM me if you have any ?'s)

Barring any waitlist miracles (Duke/UT) or an outright acceptance at Vandy or Cornell (HIGHLY unlikely) I will be headed to Fordham. It is too good a legal market (even with the competition) to pass up. Plus I figure, if I really want Columbus, I have OSU as my UG to show sincere interest in this market, or I could work in NYC for a few years and try to lateral back to C-Bus.

So, as it stands, I'm about 99% sure I will be at OSU in the fall. I'm looking for a roommate for south campus gateway apartments or a house/apartment within walking distance to the law school. Dudes preferred if it's just a two room apartment, otherwise I don't really care because frankly, some girls are just cool as shit lol. If you like sports, the occasional xbox, music, and/or the occasional beer, we'll get along just fine. I'm not a picky guy and I'm very respectful of property and the need for study time etc. Plus I LOVE to cook. If anybody is the least bit interested or has an opening and wants any additional info, PM me!
