Fair enough. Being from Ohio, I'm always gonna have a soft spot for OSU, but they need to offer me $$$ before I can consider them over Iowa (which offered me a full ride).

Credited. Iowa and OSU are essentially peers, and I imagine Iowa has a lower COL than Columbus.

I'm going to be visiting tOSU on Monday, March 15th. Pretty excited.

Looking at previous recipients on LSN...it looks to be a pretty high GPA indeed. I'm assuming that all those last year who listed 75k + were Moritz schollys

Yes, my gosh. I'm actually in Columbus right now trying to visit. I sent them an email on Sunday to arrange a visit and I called a few days this week. The number they give is for one of the assistant admissions director's line, and her voicemail says to call another guy, and he's not there either. I'll try again today, and maybe just call every single line on their website if I need to. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll just try to go there in person.

I mean, what is the median gpa (roughly) for the class in the law school? I'm trying to gauge what the gpa minimums mean for maintaining the scholarships--you know, 2.5, 3.0.

Just called them. They seem to be there now.

Median seems to be around B/B+. My scholly stipulates a 2.0. I think the Moritz requires a 3.0.

Does scholarship come in the letter saying you are admitted or does it come separately?

Just got email saying I'm not being offered any scholarship $$$. This actually surprised me. I have a 175 a 3.0 lsdas, but with 2 post grad degrees (one being another ug degree) with like 3.9. And I'm a fucking OSU alum...soon withdrawing I suspect. WHy would I go to osu at cost over Northwestern at cost with badass lrap?

That's rough man, sorry to hear. The Moritz Merit doesn't necessarily use LSDAS gpa, so I figured you had a good shot there.

GPA Requirement 2.0

10K per year (Moritz Diversity Enrichment Scholarship).

11k/yr for academic merit! Will probably be there in the fall

12k/yr

Just emailed the finaid dean asking them to reconsider, or at least have a longer conversation with me about things. We'll see, my wife really doesn't want to move! On the bright side, a while ago capital gave me a bunch of $$
