Did anyone else receive the handbook today via snail mail? The cover letter said there would be a one-page insert in the handbook regarding a change in the grading policy for first-year students, but my handbook had no such insert.

I too received the handbook yesterday, and I couldn't find the insert either. However I still haven't received any information about how we make our seat deposit. has anyone else?

Cooool! Where r u going in Peru? I'll stay there for 3 weeks too. I am heading to Columbia by the end of this month. From there, I'll travel all the way down to Argentina and coming back a week before the orientation.

Well, we'll head into Lima first for a couple of days, head to Cusco for a day, check out Pisac and Ollantaytambo, go back to Cusco, two days at Macchu Picchu, a couple of days in Puno where we get to go out on Lake Titicaca, back to Cusco again, then back to Lima for a few more days.

I think.... Haha. I'm looking forward to it. I've never been to the southern hemisphere and I've always had some hard to explain connection to Peru.

You'll have a blast in Argentina. I have a friend who has been living there for the better part of a year. It seems amazing.

I received an email stating that I was not being offered any scholly $ for the time being but saw others on LSN with similar stats who've gotten $$.

I sent in my LOCI. I want to go to Ohio and if I get off the waitlist I want to be able to accept but I am afraid that I won't be able to find affordable housing last minute. Any suggestions?

Nope, I applied in october, accepted late december before any of the scholarships came out. I cant figure out why

Nope, I applied in october, accepted late december before any of the scholarships came out. I cant figure out why

My guess is that you may have to wait until the seat deposits are due (5/1 I think) and the university reassess their scholy fund when people withdraw.

I thought the food was good... but it doesn't take much at all to satisfy me haha. For the reception on Friday, they had the usual fresh fruits, veggies + dip, cheese cubes, crackers, chips & salsa, some kind of fried marinara + mozzarella cheese balls, chicken tenders. For Saturday's lunch, they had a buffet - salad, steamed string beans, potatoes, pasta, breaded chicken, etc.

My only gripe is that there was no free alcohol.

I thought the food was really good and everything was professional on my ASW, especially compared to the other ASW I attended. Don't know what that dude's gripe is about.
