Well, to be somewhat optimistic, a vast majority of students who don't secure employment while in school, do find employment within 9 months of graduating, at least that's what the statistics say! :)

It's non-refundable, but it doesn't legally commit you to enrolling.

Out of curiosity, is anyone else trying to get their scholarship offers increased? I was all but committed to OSU until I realized UGA is going to be significantly cheaper.

I was at the open house this weekend as well. Currently i'm going back and forth between OSU and UGA. UGA is significantly cheaper for me as well, its a really tough call.

Anyone taken the withdraw survey? I thought it was interesting that it specifically mentions TLS. The question: "How would you rate the impact of third-party websites (Top Law Schools, Law School Numbers, Vault, etc.) on your overall view of Moritz?" Just thought it was interesting and goes to show that they are aware of these sights if nothing else.

They just gave me a 10k scholarship offer after talking to them about it at the ASW. Makes my decisions much more difficult.

I had a conversation about it at the ASW as well, but I was told more or less not to expect to hear anything until after deposits come in. Their reasoning for it makes sense, but once I put in a deposit, I lose a lot of leverage (not to mention $225 if I wind up going to UGA).

It does. The Ohio State Law Journal is the flagship journal for OSU. http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/lawjournal/index.php

Didn't get the Moritz merit thing. I'm an "alternate," which I'm sure all the semifinalists are. They said they're only giving out 5 this year. The guy I did my interview with said the endowment has taken a big hit and they've cut the number of awards over the years.

Oh well. I probably wasn't going to accept anyway. Hope someone great got it!

Out of curiosity, did you get any regular scholarships like the academic merit, leadership, or diversity?

I did and in the reject e-mail for the Moritz thing, they increased the amount slightly. I think my total 3-year award would now be $44,000.
