Have they sent out many decisions?

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I hope this week brings some responses. For me, waiting on UW is the most gut-wrenching of them all.

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
Another question, I've heard they're really hardcore strict on applicants out of state? Does that still apply if you're a URM? I heard they kind of need some of those.

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I'm a weak splitter. Above the 75th LSAT but below 25th GPA, are they kind to applicants like me? Anyone have any stories or similar stats to share?

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I'm just above 75th LSAT and just below median for GPA. I also wrote a "Why Wisc" and i've been waiting since 12/15...i'm hoping this week is it!

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I've been put on hold, expectedly, until my Feb. LSAT score comes in. I think I might have a chance with the score I have now, though, and I'm hoping that the hold on my application isn't going to hurt me if I get the same or only slightly higher score in Feb.

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I just went in review on 1/22. Above 75th for lsat, below 25th for gpa. wisconsin, please dont drag this out.... you keep on sending unsolicited viewbooks to my house in large white packages. show some real love.
in all seriousness, does anyone know when they start taking people off the waitlist, since thats where i anticipate being moved to?

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I just got waitlisted, median for GPA and 75th for LSAT. Jesus christ, thought I'd do a little better.
I've noticed a lot of talk on this forum for getting off the waitlist - anyone have a strategy that worked? I'm writing a LOCI as we speak...

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I'll let him answer, of course, but I wouldn't automatically jump to this conclusion. Wisconsin looks like it is really 'upping its game' this cycle. I figured my chances here were about the same as OSU, but it looks like I may be wrong.moandersen wrote:that doesnt seem quite right.... is there something in your app that was detrimental?NatSec wrote:under review in early nov.

Nothing detrimental at all. Even have prior military, for a brief period. I have waitlist from Minn. as well which makes it even more awkward. Just a very odd cycle for a lot of people I think.
The scholly from Indiana was nice but the rejection from Illinois was a strange counter-point.

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I do find it quite odd that I was wait listed straight from UG with the same LSAT, a lower GPA, and no super-strong/unique softs, while you were rejected. I was also rejected by UofI, but am still eagerly awaiting OSU, IU, ND, and WUSTL (though I'm expecting rejections at both ND and WUSTL).NatSec wrote:traehekat wrote:I'll let him answer, of course, but I wouldn't automatically jump to this conclusion. I'm confused out the ass, but I have been this whole cycle.
