Def. weird, have you called them? You are easily in.sdegarmo wrote:graduated in june, they have all my gradesBorhas wrote:you guys still waiting, have you sent in fall grades?
ive been going kind of nuts. especially regarding the people who get accepted like a week after submitting
I hope they got them. My fall grades are 5 years old.Borhas wrote:you guys still waiting, have you sent in fall grades?
Thanks Doctor Nick. I hope your attending some place great!DoctorNick189 wrote:Have been waiting for a million years, but just withdrew my application. Best of luck to the rest of you.
This makes sense. There was an article in the NYT recently about the increase in law school applications. Some schools are up 40-50% on the number of apps they've received. Just crazy.scolinos wrote:I haven't gone complete yet, and I sent my app in the beginning of Jan. I emailed them and they said they were overwhelmed with apps. O well. Maybe the big box theory is right...
It does make sense, but many other schools are keeping their acts together.scolinos wrote:I haven't gone complete yet, and I sent my app in the beginning of Jan. I emailed them and they said they were overwhelmed with apps. O well. Maybe the big box theory is right...

I grew up in San Diego, and you definitely "need" a car. You can probably get by without it, but it's not something you'll at all want to do. Especially for entertainment/life, San Diego has cool places, but you have to drive to get to all of them.mbleak wrote:I actually know a few people who graduated this past year from USD law, and all of them had more than one job offer before they had graduated and passed the bar. The USD campus is absolutely gorgeous, and I don't think it's been below 70 degrees this entire semester.
The nightlife is also awesome out here. There are various places throughout the city that are fun to go on the weekends.
In terms of living costs, I currently live in a one bedroom apartment that costs 1265 a month. The two bedrooms in my complex are around 1500-1600. Most people I know who are sharing an apartment or house are paying between 600-900 dollars a month. Having a car is pretty important though, since the trolley doesn't run to campus. There is a bus that drops you off directly in front of campus, so you could potentially take the trolley and a bus to campus everyday.
ooooooo I know! I got that on Monday. I was fuming!Inygma wrote:Big packet in the mail, which I thought was scholly info....
But it was just a financial aid review with the sheet to fill out (which I did weeks ago)
SOooooooo Annoying.

Everyone who was accepted before January got the packet if they submitted Financial Aid already or not.
THE GOOD NEWS: Financial Aid lady said that they are sending out a large batch of scholarship letters this week or early next week.
THE BAD NEWS: Status checker does not tell you if one is sent to you, and scholarships are on a rolling basis, so there is no guarentee.
